Hi guys, my auto gearbox tends to jerk during gear shifts. It is very obvious when moving off after cold start, especially for down-shifting. After engine warms up, it gets alot smoother. What could be wrong? I just serviced my car last month, and workshop did not say anything is wrong. Then again, I did not specifically ask them to check the gearbox.

any experts out there who can help me address this issue. i drive a 8year old lexus, mileage 113k. regularly serviced at 10k intervals. occasionally i get this engine malfunction yellow light on and jerky gear shifts, especially at low speeds. this seems to disappear after driving for a while. This issue has been happening for the past 6month-1year already. car is otherwise ok. 1) if i take it to the service workshop and this problem doesn't happen then, can those guys diagnose the problem? 2) if it is a serious fault, by now car would have broken down already rite? can any experts advise me?? many thanks

Dear all, I am driving an Octavia Classic, manual. Anyone experience this before, a jerky engine with no power only when driving in the heavy rain. Somehow, wifey is driving the car now and reported as it is and trying to solicite your inputs and rectifications, if any. Thanks in advance.

Hi bro, Currently experiencing gearbox with a hard jerk when shifting from P to R. Went to Regent to complain but did not find any problem with the gearbox. Cause the jerk does not always happen, thus making trouble shooting difficult. Wonder any Laser or 323 owner having the same problem? Rdgs Laser

Got this problem and need more opinions. Stationary: 1) occasion hard jerk when engaging any "gear" from Neutral Moving: 1) jerk when up/down shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear. No error appeared on VAG diagnostics, except gearbox temp sensor is high. Major suspision: 1)Mountings (engine? gearbox) 2)Valve body (can be serviced?) 3)Differential gear (can be serviced?)

Just to check with those who are driving Spectra whether your wiper will also very jerky cos yesterday when raining, I switch on the intermittent mode then it is very jerky like dancing, so scary! If you have the same experience and if you have any solutions to that, do let me know, thanks!
