Hi there i very bored with my 4 year old 47" Philips Full HD LCD.....its served me well so far but some how i still prefer Plasmas or LEDs. I remember a couple of years back Pioneer still sold the Kuros Plamsa line which was top of the line for luxury Plasmas and the picture quality was absolutely stunning. Does anyone know where I can still get one of these beauties? Too bad they discontinued the production...the Kuros was expensive (above $10k) but IMHO worth every penny. Oh btw I am selling my old Philips, its still works fine except the remote needs replacement so if there r bros out there looking for a cheal Full HD LCD just msg me here...

I am looking to buy a new tv to replace my CRT (yes, i am still using a CRT!! ) eyeing for the Samsung LED but the sales guy keep recommending plasma from Panasonic. look at both the LED and Plasma side by side, i do agree that plasma do have better resolution in all viewing angles. my main concern is, if i get the plasma, am i buying an out dating technology TV? can anyone give me some advice? thanks.

If 99% of the time watching SD TV thru Starhub Digital or DVD, which one would you choose? Main concern is blurry or grainy pics evident from LCD TVs.

Hi Guys Need to ask you all leh for opinion. My 100Hz CRT flat screen TV is spoilt. Transformer pichar. Need to pay $150 for repair. Me thinking since the TV is like 6years old, maybe should I buy a new TV to replace it? Worried that if I repair the transformer, maybe next year something else will also spoil. I've the following choices 1) $379 Akira 29" flat screen TV. Not 100HZ (Carrefour) 2 years warranty but CRT tube 1 year. 2) $899 LG 32" Plasma TV. (Carrefour) How come plasma so cheap???? 3) $849 Panasonic 32" LCD TV. (at mustafa) Have been thinking and don't know whats the best to buy because the TV usage at my home is really high. 1 day can run 16hrs-20hrs for just some reasons. So it's because of this, I really don't know what is the most reliable choice. Good thing about CRT is that they can be repaired but as can be seen nowadays, it's almost extinct and you cannot find those with 2-3years warranty. Mostly are 1-2years now. LCD seems to be more popular than Plasma and cheaper. Why? I read about some problems with plasma but forgot....but the worry with LCD or Plasma is that...although they have 3 years warranty nowadays but if it's spoilt after 3 years, it's as good as throwing it away. Almost cannot be repaired. So if it cost $899, and breaks after 3 years, per year cost is $300 liao. After so much of procrastinating....me thinking of buying the ugly and cheapo 29" Akira TV. Btw, thats the living room TV which I never use and don't bother so much.....

Hi all, Can anyone give me a low down on which is a better buy in term of picture quality and durability? Yesterday, i went down to best denki and saw some panasonic plasma tv promotion *SGD1999 plus $400 cash voucher rebate* which is very tempting but after asking around some ppl say that plasma tv does not have a veri long life span and will kaputt after 3 yrs or so. is that true? Also what other things do i need to look out for? Thank you for the advices.
