  1. Hi all, I am currently driving an Elantra on 15” stock tires. I have been reading both HWZ and MCF on this topic and would like to get everyone’s opinion: 1. The reason why I am considering upsizing my tire from 15” to 16” is to allow me to choose more tires. Currently based on the stock tires (195/65/15), I don’t have much choices. Based on some recommendation and my current tire, I am considering CPC5. But if I upsize, I can consider Primacy or PSS (I know the 2 types are totally different type). Should I upsize my tire? If I shouldn’t upsize, the next question wouldn’t be valid. 2. Based on what I have read, tires below 16” will be cheaper to get in MY. However, I am worried if I upsize, I will need to change my rim as well and I believe the rim will be the main cost of upsizing. Apologies for this troublesome question. If anyone can help me on this, it will be very very helpful.
  2. Hi, Am thinking of upsizing my new Mazda3 from 16" to 19", as i absolutely love the looks. Specific question is, if i am not a heavy foot and speedy driver, how big is the impact on take off, acceleration, and fuel consumption? Is the car going to be horribly sluggish? I am aware of the harder, noisier and bumpier ride. I just love the look. And there's an original Mazda 19" available at a shop. Original is 205/60-R16 , 16"x6.5 , offset 50. The change will be to 19"x7.0 , offset 50 and available tyre options at the shop are 235/35-R19 (-0.8%) or 225/40-R19 (+1.5%). Please advise. Many thanks.
  3. Hi guys, Thinking of upsizing from 205/55/16 to either 225/50/17 or 225/45/18 difference will be new tyre is 5% larger than original in terms of diameter. Has anyone upsized their tyres this way and how did it affect your car? My body kit is too low and my wheel gap is too large so instead of lowering it i am thinking make the wheel bigger to cover the gap and at the same time preserve the ride height so i may still enter MSCP. My wheel gap is 3 inch. my front kit to ground is 3 inch which is already scrapping every mscp in singapore.
  4. driving a merc B Class and thinking of upsizing the stock rims to replica AMG rims. will it void the warranty?
  5. Hey guys, Thinking of upsizing my rims and tyres on my Lexus IS200. I am currently running on stock Lexus IS200 rims with Potenza G3 tyres. Got around 20,000 clicks on the tyres even though I only got them a few months back. Thinking of changin the tyres so got itchy and thought of upsizing my rims at the meantime. I believe the stock rims is 5 spokes, 114.4 PCD, tyres 215/45/R17. What is the proper upsize. Looking for recommendations on rims and tyres. Looking to keep cost within 2K if possible. Max 2.5K. I like Enkei, but don't mind going to forged. Anyone heard of SSR rims? My ride is on Cusco Zero1 coilover. Will I need to readjust the settings after chaning the rims?
  6. I plan to change stock 175/65-R14 to 195/50-R15. Besides knowing both are 4xPCD100 and the diameter changed is within +/- 3%, what else do I have to look out for ? ( e.g. off set, J ) Thanks !
