Yep. That is why the recommended spark plugs for DIS is double platinum and not iridium. If it is iridium, it should be iridium tip, platinum ground.

I heard BM use the stock toyota oem from denso iridium tough (VK20?).

IS200 needs six of them.

 

toyota stock iridiums are SK series...eg sk-20....used them before...although long lasting...performance wise cant compare with denso ik or vk series...

my ride's sluggish on those sk plugs compared to the ik.

I got something similar. 120V limited to 35mA from a lab power supply unit. Mind blowing experience. I shudder at the thought of the full 13A from an exposed home wiring.

No lah. The amp is too low to kill. The volts r very high so u get a shock but wont die unless u got a very weak heart.

 

I've been zapped many times by the spark plug current.

When you guys mentioned the sotong tentacles or high performance cables, you are actually referring to the high tension cables, right?

 

So, what is the verdict?

Iridium or platinum spark plugs?

Combined with high tension cables, is the cost of installing these justifiable for the performance and FC improvements?

Sorry guys, currently still using the original spark plug for my car, Cerato and now the mileage is only 5k plug.

 

I went to UTS Automotive and they recommend the Bosch spark plug to me, how is Bosch Super 4 or Platinum compared to Denso Iridium Power or Tough series?

 

Should I change now or wait till my mileage reaches 10K cos stock spark plug should last only 10K, right?

Doesn't matter. As long as it is a properly gapped plug, it should work. However, if you go for the Pt plugs expecially the double Pt plugs, you will not have to change the plug for 160k km!

 

Stock plug can last 20k if you gap it every 10k.

just took out my 100k usage NGK double platinium plugs. put in new copper ones.

 

any stuff i can use to clean the old plugs ? i reckon still can use for another 30k.

need to gap it as well.
