In a separate accident on Saturday night near Northland Primary School along Yishun Avenue 4, a 35-year-old driver was killed after his car hit a tree.

Hey dude. We can see it is side impact. The only thing seperating the driver and the tree is just the door.

 

Side airbag only protect the head from the collision. If frontal impact at least engine can help u block.

The tree is always harder. See from the pic the tree only suffered scratches.

Statistics shown that collison with a tree is mostly deadly or fatal, deosn't matter which car you are driving. If you have to crash try to avoid a tree.
