Was not speeding at all. My entire face was smashed in literally. Car totalled. In hospital 1 month. A friend of mine crashed onto a thin tree and dead in the accident. According to TP report he wasn't speeding, the car probably skidded and crashed onto the tree. So small tree is enough to send you to heaven. Nothing to do with hardness - it's simple physics: moving object hits relatively immovable object so where does all that energy go? That's why expressways have guard rails which will deform and absorb some of the kinetic energy which saves lives - pity that Singapore's garden city policy means higher chance of fatalities on the roads. Chances of missing a tree is higher than hitting it should your car leave the road. Since the driver is dead, we need to blame someone, so blame it on the tree. If no shade, complain roads are stark and hot. Got trees and someone run into it, blame the tree for killing the driver. If its not the tree he hit, he would have ploughed into something else anyway. The tree is stationary. The car is mobile and under control by the driver. Shouldn't the driver be responsible for the proper guidance of the car? But when you crash you have only yourself to blame. "if there are too many accidents, they will step up enforcement - not to your advantage." What the hell is a car speeding on that stretch of road......only the driver knows. Probably a moment of madness to speed + day dreaming kill him. Pls dun jump to conclusions just because this car is black and is a euro R. The tree: "who me?" anyway the tree presents a small immobile structure that only aims to transfer all energy in a collision to the body of the car. So if u suay suay hit the tree, u will suay suay die. if there arent trees around, maybe go in longkang, hit railings, heck hit wall also less pain then wrapping the tree. so technically, the tree has a small part to play in road deaths. if the accord didnt hit the tree, the driver might be still alive.
