hi bro and sis, need some advise.

i am going to change my tyres in about 1-2 months time, am not sure of what tyres should i get. maybe you guys can help me by giving my some comments. i am considering either getting a 195/55/R16 or 195/50/R16.

currently on Goodyear Revspec RS-02 205/45/R16 upgraded from 185/65/R14 bridgestone

REVIEW ON REVSPEC RS-02

-wear off very fast

-abit bumpy

-excellent dry and wet grip

-abit noisy

here are my priorities for upcoming new tyres :

1. quietness/Noise

2. Dry and wet Grip

3. comfort

4. Lasting

5. Budget

thanks in advance

i'd recommend BF Goodrich g-Force Sports.

good balance of everything. its not quiet, but definitely not noisy like the SS595 [laugh]

That would reduce your wheel's overall diameter. That will compromise the handling of your car.

Your car is SUV? So high profile tyre.

215/60/R16 is 3.1% smaller than 215/65/R16. Usually the recommended difference is no more than 3%, but since u are downsizing rather than upsizing, i think it should be borderline ok. [cool]

brother...i am currently running on 225/45/17 CSC 2 on my bao-bei........super quiet....silent performer....

verdict - thread design quiet, compound quiet......

furthermore good deal as there are clearing stock to make way for CSC 3...i had a superb deal for them...cleared my OEM potenza RE030 which i found grippy but noisy

i was originally going for either Miohelin pilot preceda 2 or Bridgestone GR80.....when it comes to tires, i suggest no compromise !

my suggestion would be Michelin Pilot sport , CSC 2 or 3, the new Adrenalins or Re050....they will save you when u need to brake hard to avoid that stupid kid running across the road ! [thumbsup]

Hey, bro Azarael, can pm me the shop tat you bought the tyre ... thnk u ... dom they have 205/55/r16?

Hello Watwheels,

How does it affects the handling of the car?

Yes..its a CRV.

High profile tyres...what does that means?

Thanks.

Am looking for quiet tyres and in this category its difficult to find the exact size for my tyres.

Don't mind a road tyre that's quiet, even though I'm driving a SUV.

Thanks for your advise.

Hi,

I was recommended the MXV8 by a workshop and a kind gentleman. Was told that its very quiet and better than the Preceda 2.

But when I went thru the archive in this forum [dizzy], there were comments that say its very noisy and lousy. [confused]

Kindly advise with your comments. Thank You.

If U want great dry grip with good wet grip to boot. Nice stiff sidewall. Noise my be an issue

If you want an overall good tyre in both wet & dry. Comfy & quiet. Go 4 V8RS
