If your first priority is quietness, then Bridgestone GR-80 and Yokohama DNA dB are good choices.

gr80 has the advantage thats its readily available outside, unlike hankook limited to hankook stores only, means u can push down prices a bit more too

dna db is neither here not there

end of the day it will boil down to whether the quietness and bridgestone brand is worth the 100 smackaroos over the hankooks

for me i take the gr80s

my 2 cts worth is gr80 is overpriced.Performance is ok n nothing to shout home abt.The biggest mistake is when i switched to DNA501 aft gr80.Dry n esp wet performance simply CMI.I just switched to V8 n is please to say it is equivalent to BS if not better. And it is the softest tyre among 3 tat gave smoothest ride.Another plus pt is,it is V rating compared to H rating of the 2 Japs.

sadly yes

rubber is cheap to produce, same as everything in the world

its just how much markup there is :)

its all abt supply and demand, supply for gr80 is short and demand is high, opposite for korean rubbers

if one day there were an aids eperdemic, the price of rubbers (not the ones u fit on ur rims) will definitely go up

Hey bro...

Working in the industry, I have had the opportunity to try both the Revspec RS-02 and recently, the newly launched Bridgestone RE-001 Adrenalin Tyre at Sepang.

I love the latter, and it encompasses everything you want in a tyre, but it costs more than an Eagle F1, or if you bargain, about the same.

I beg to differ - I think the Revspec lasted quite long for me. I used it for 1 year and 3 months, over a mileage of 60,000km with HARD driving nearly everyday, especially hard cornering.

I'm doing up the tyre review right now, will post it here when i'm done. Cheers!

hi bro and sis, need some advise.

REVIEW ON REVSPEC RS-02

-wear off very fast -abit bumpy -excellent dry and wet grip -abit noisy

here are my priorities for upcoming new tyres :

1. quietness/Noise

2. Dry and wet Grip

3. comfort

4. Lasting

5. Budget

thanks in advance

Bro,

I used to use the Revspec... and no I don't work for tyre company.

I felt the revspec held up quite well in all aspects for street driving... and they're quite quiet la.... wait till you try AD-07.

OK, here's the bummer.... tyre performance (relative la) and tyre life are invariably inversely proportional.

So you'd have to balance your expectations wrt wear rate and performance.

Here's a link... hope it helps....

hi bro and sis, need some advise.

i am going to change my tyres in about 1-2 months time, am not sure of what tyres should i get. maybe you guys can help me by giving my some comments. i am considering either getting a 195/55/R16 or 195/50/R16.

currently on Goodyear Revspec RS-02 205/45/R16 upgraded from 185/65/R14 bridgestone

Since you are in REVSPEC and you have listed you priorities. V8RS would prob suit you best since noise is Primo #1, V8RS offer good wet & dry grip, comfy as well. These tyres wear well and affordable. Interesting V8RS is good overall performer.Check out the other thread on V8RS

brother...i am currently running on 225/45/17 CSC 2 on my bao-bei........super quiet....silent performer....

verdict - thread design quiet, compound quiet......

furthermore good deal as there are clearing stock to make way for CSC 3...i had a superb deal for them...cleared my OEM potenza RE030 which i found grippy but noisy

i was originally going for either Miohelin pilot preceda 2 or Bridgestone GR80.....when it comes to tires, i suggest no compromise !

my suggestion would be Michelin Pilot sport , CSC 2 or 3, the new Adrenalins or Re050....they will save you when u need to brake hard to avoid that stupid kid running across the road ! [thumbsup]

just saw a brother with the Rev spec on 18 inches.....nice thread design IMHO and i hear the wet/dry grip is good ! [thumbsup]

Goodyear Eagle F1 seems to be from Thailand/China now a days and so many people are using it, it would be grerat to hear a review about Rev-spec....awaiting your review eagerly....pls post in new thread ! [flowerface][thumbsup]

I'm on the Michelin Preceda. Its really quiet. Grip wise is on a par wit Revspec RS2, according to a tire test. Preceda shuld last very long too.

My tire size is 215/65/R16 and the largest Perceda 2 is 215/60/R16. Is it ok to change to this size?

Some shop says its ok and some advise not to. [confused][confused][confused]

Kindly advise. Thank You.
