Furrynadz 5th Gear June 14, 2007 Share June 14, 2007 look at thread patterns of tyres, u will give u an indication 1) quietness = small thread blocks, very little void area, look at aspec db/gr80, dna db, the hankook dunno which model which looks very similar 2) dry grip = large thread blocks, like those u see on ad07 3) wet grip = v groove or large void areas 4) lasting, look at the threadwear rating, higher number = harder rubber = poorer grip = last longer

Garlic 1st Gear June 14, 2007 Share June 14, 2007 V8RS if you are looking at Hankook tyres? They are currently having a 20% sale and your current 205/45/R16 profile is going at $124 each. Was quoted $150 per tyre for GR80 by a popular tyre shop, 16" profile.
Garlic 1st Gear June 14, 2007 Share June 14, 2007 Could it be the XQ Optimo? Thread looks pretty similar to Aspec dB.
Furrynadz 5th Gear June 14, 2007 Share June 14, 2007 ya this one looks better than aspec and maybe even dna db but if it can stack up to gr80 is another story few using this tyre
Garlic 1st Gear June 14, 2007 Share June 14, 2007 (edited) Not too sure of its price and performance but Hankook seems to be the most expensive among the three Korean brands. Edited June 14, 2007 by Garlic

But for $130 can get Yoko DNA501 (made in Nihon) from the famous AMK tyre shop..... Which is a better choice $130 sushi or $124 Kimchi?
