THe reason for the sudden surge of these models on the road is because of the good Euro exchange rate leading to C&C being able to sell at a competitive price.

These cars are better specced than a similar Jap model so it would be a value for money purchase.

Do go and test drive one yourself. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Today's ads, C&C is giving up to $15k discount for Citroen. Is this a sign that COE will get softer soon?

Very likely, I notice Komoco didn't up their price too much after last COE bidding. Probably sales is bad.....

Sales order for most new car seller are not that great.....a lot of the price action is purely speculative....but don't expect COE to crash....

ha. cos they already up too much even before the coe went up!

yesh. their sales is eating grass now.

when i book their i30 wagon right after CNY, the price was only 61k.

they only bid 20k for the coe.

now, coe is 30k, but their price is 78k...

they are trying to earn more per car now...

cos they cannot sell by volume anymore...

I'm actually stuck between choosing:

- Toyota Wish 2.0 Deluxe (A)

- Mazda 5 2.0 (A)

- Kia Sorento 2.4 SX (A)

- and lastly C4 grand picasso.

I am very concerned about the following:

- electronic failures of french-make cars;

- the sufficient leg-room for the 3rd row seats;

- rear aircon must be available

(can rear aircon be added for Wish or models tt do not have rear air-con? i mean since i saw a post saying that Sorento EX just top up 1k can have local installed rear air-con)

Not very particular about the price since the price are pretty close for these models.

so any advise?

[wave] Fellow Car buyer,

I am like you, lookin at the choices you made. Buy my choices are Kis Sorento, Mazda5, C4 Grand Picasso, Oddessy.

Still can't decide which to choose. If u dun mind, like to exchange here wif u, on the same hunt for a similar MPV / SUV 7 seater.

reply? :D

It took me 18 months to finally to come to a conclusions on the right MPV for me. that is after scrutinizing all my needs and wants and knowing what is really important in driving a MPV. Going through and test driven almost all the MPVs there are in Singapore and in all price range!

This is by far the quitest MPV, smooth and luxury feeling MPV that I have ever taken. When moving off moderately, the engine is so quiet. The car is well insulated so much so that people outside are commenting on how noisy the air-con fan are that spins at high speed but then you don't hear a thing while inside the cabin.

The glass roof are huge but you can control how much light you want to bring in... but after driving this car for 2 months, the feeling of driving this car in the morning along Upper Thomson road in early morning with Panaromic view + Moonroof is really superb!

Of course my view is biased towards what I have purchased but as I said that 18 months worth of finding out and readings have proved to be a fruitful decision for me and for my family.

Imagine paying almost the same price as the popular MPV in Singapore and yet the car features are way more advanced is really a simple decision to make.

12 years ago, people told me that Opel was not reliable and it may break down easily and expensive to repair... I am so glad that I did not listen to them , coz if I did, I would have been jaded to be a boring point A point B driver... Opel was so much fun to drive with wonderful handling and after 12 years.. I realized that it's such a reliable car...

Now that I have driven the C4GP for 2 months, the feeling is like getting a free upgrade from economy class to business class .... and really pampered by it's plush and smooth ride every single moments of my driving...

Not to mention the turbo engine.. really really sweet... its a little thirsty... but then it's business class... expect to pay a little more... but the it's a world of difference compared to the other MPVs.

so back to your choice.... I have made mine....
