There's no need to use highbeam at night on Singapore's roads. Maybe if you drive in Malaysia then would you need to, but brightly lit Singapore? No reasonable need.

Some people just want to show off their 'powder-ful' HID lamps..

In SG, no need to use high beam most of the times cos most of the roads are pretty well lit [nod][nod][nod]

However, there are some dumb axs whom is ignorant that their high beam is causing discomfort to the front vehicle [rifle][rifle][rifle]

high beam situation not so bad.. TP sud catch those using foglight. send them to Lane 8 and dismantle it and fine them.

but some idiots out there do high beam others as those they own the road, even driving in lane 3.

In Malaysia also no need to hb ....

If on NSH, also have to make sure no car in front of you or any car coming in the oppsite direction ...

Other than that you can hb but once opposite direction got cars coming, switch to normal beam. After the car has passed, then you can switch back to hb .... basic highway driving courtesy ....

Welcome to Singapore... the country of inconsiderate drivers. [furious]

Of course.. if they were considerate...they'll be on the forum discussing about inconsiderate drivers.... [thumbsup]

I'm light sensitive.. so usually when the beam hits my eyes I go blind temporarily... when that happens(thank God its not often as I try to avert my eyes mostly!!) I try to slow down and signal my intention till my eyes recovers.

Those SUV with HID normal beam already bad enough.

High beam should be used in particularly dark roads, when approaching sharp bends to warn any vehicles coming from the opposite direction. Esp if the road is one lane and narrow.

thought Fog lights is to point downwards? if so, why is it worst that Highbeam which points upwards?

or I am wrong about fog lights (to light up only the immediate front only) [lipsrsealed]

btw... I only use my fog lights during super heavy down pours and on very dark roads like Neo Tiew Rd (at nights) [sweatdrop]
