From what I know abt the EVO 9, no test drive allowed at C n C. Warranty was also 1 year 20000km only. EVO X C n C is taking orders for the GSR MT at $ 137K...... Nothing on the SST variant yet.

Wow, Like that quite disappointing. I was hoping for the SST version. Hopefully the price will drop as the technology becomes more stable & affordable...in a few year time, when I am really to change my ride.

 

I pretty like the look of the new car, & the interior is more pleasing than than last gen lancer(although not day & night). Current Civic & Mz3 still have better interior IMO.

 

Its a pity the car didn't stay very true to the concept X, which is really nice with sharp feature...well, still an above avg looking car...

 

Anyway I got talk to one parellal importer, He said warranty 3 years about 120K + for 5MT.

Its still the best bang for buck performance sedan, other than the WRX STI which is damn disappointing in the styling division.

 

Love to have the new RS6(heard gonna be V8 Twin Turbo 500+ hp Quattro), but even the base A6 also so expensive. can't afford. M3, RS4 also out of range. 335i also damn cool with its new engine of the year Twin turbine, but price isn't cheap, so is the road tax.

y not worth buying.... look at the price of an evo9 .... and a PI 5MT evo X ... i tink its quite worth it....

 

$120k+ with that kind of performance and handling... can u name me a cheaper option given the same specs???? [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Then must consider older car. rx7 fd3s. [sly] Only 1.3litre. Somemore turbo and rwd. Can kill most of the cars on the road. Dunno if can kill evo. The looks already so killing. [idea]

 

Or consider a s15. Also cheaper than new evo x. Somemore can go drift on the track. Dun need to mod awd to rwd to drift. [idea]

 

If new ride, then can consider s2000. s2k about 120k + from PI. Somemore, rwd also + 6mt. NA muscle. [thumbsup]

er.. but u see... how much coe years are these rides left with... i mean look at the s15... its 120-130k back then when its new... 250bhp ... RWD...

 

comparing with other RWDs the evo has SYC which i guess would be faster thou less fun... plus it sits more than the s2000...

 

in fact i'm a fan of the old sch RWDs like fd3s 200sx etc... but thats another story...

 

my point is... i tot the pricing of the evo X would be in the 140k region... i tink its quite worth it given evo 9 was in the range of 130-140k .... and look at the pricing of the new sti... and it only has a centre diff... i tink... [:/]

 

and being able to go faster than any car in a straight line or round the track for the same price.... [sly]

Wow, quite high, the difference...*sigh* give up SST option liao.

 

Since I gonna spend alo of my time in the car, the interior is very important. The interior of old school car like Silva & RX7 just don't fill it for me. Yap, the evo x is no Zonda, but at least its decent looking & more features.

 

I am not an all out Performance guy. I don't think I will heavily mod my car. I like a balance between styling, refinement & build quality, comfort, performance, practicality(boot size, passenger capacity)...& affordability.

yeah actually i also feel that its worth buying compared to Evo9. Plus i like the EvoX's styling more than its predecessor..

 

but for SST to be $17k more?! Sorry man...too bad no 6-speed [:|]

 

is it really $17k additional? i mean, other than the gear box and its stuff, there are no other extras already right? i just saw the SST's add in Straits Times today~~~

C&C 137k is kinda of expensive for the 5MT. anyway.. my company price different between 5MT and SST is just 5k. do drop by and look for me if anyone is keen. all are welcome [:)]
