Octopus 3rd Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 So stationwagon like fielder and airwave rear boot iszit spacious than sedan one?? Yes, I would think a stationwagon is more spacious than a sedan.
Octopus 3rd Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 most of the cars have foldable rear seats. even city/altis have it. anyway i think MPV wins all when the 2nd and 3rd row folded down. I think even a coffin can fit in.
Silver_blade Turbocharged November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 (edited) If it's all about carrying stuff w/o passenger, I would think a hatch back would be more flexible and able to carry more than a sedan. I've seen people carrying a packed bed frame, larger carpet, a packed 2 door wardrobe, a packed desk and a few other loose items, eg. lamp, bulbs, towel, etc...in a getz @ ikea. Boyboy 1st Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 Can compensate with bike holders? Hatchback put in mountain bikes can seat how many ppl? Just curious. I always see advert where bike fits into SPV or MPV but seldom see actual in action. Most use holders. likewise with hatchback. also can put bike holder. for this question, depends on passenger count. if 1 pax + driver, hatch wins. even with two pax, hatch may still win if have split folding seats. more than that, sedan wins. i personally prefer hatch. but whatever man.. it's individual opinion. Jl1500k Clutched November 12, 2007 Author Share November 12, 2007 Yes agree, If we are those "ikea people" then get a stationwagon or MPV is better.
Ahhuat 1st Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 Sedan or hatchback is easy to organize and store your stuff? i drove a coupla hatchbacks before but now switch to sedans... hatchbacks still have the option of folding the rear seats down to store more stuff.. for me.. single driver.. and i like to haul a lot of stuff.. surprisingly i found the prev hatchback could carry more and with ease compared to the sedan... with rear seats folded down of course... just feel stifled with the sedan cos boot space is fixed.. with the hatchback.. i could fold down the seats if needed to... but of course.. with full load of passengers.. cant fold down lah! best if get a sedan with foldable seats.. more options there.. my rio 1.6 can fold down seats.. my dad's latio.. cant fold down... i do feel the diff.. best of all.. get a wagon.. like optra wagon or fielder.. or even the airwave.. best of both worlds! Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 obviously sedan cos bigger boot. just like 1-room flat and 5-room flat, which one easier to put a 3-seater sofa? Depends on which one has a bigger living room
Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 I've fit my queen sized bed-frame in my sera which is technically a hatch and any starlet should be able to replicate that and more (as they have more interior space). I doubt any sedan can do that.
Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 (edited) So stationwagon like fielder and airwave rear boot iszit spacious than sedan one?? Stationwagons are sedans with an extended roof so theres no boot. There are 6 different styles of passenger cars. coupes, convertibles, sedans, hatchbacks, liftbacks and wagons. Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 get a airwave type of car! the boot space u can put 2 big dogs behind. or if budget allows, get a Saad Turbo 2.0T hatch back or new Volvo V70 2.5T, the boot is HUGE after 2nd row seats are folded! those are wagons not hatches. Jesse Neutral Newbie November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 Maybe you should try Skoda Octavia(Hatch) you can put alot alot of things inside cause its very spacious lah. can put 2 X mountain bike inside with the rear seat fold down.
Solar Turbocharged November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 station wagon bros feel left out leh.... put in a couple of 'organiser' boxes. you will be able to store lots of stuff. in addtion, some wagons are able to fold down rear passenger seats (mine 60/40), and even able to attach roof storage (eg thule racks)
Donut Supercharged November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 What car is that? I think currently the most versatile sedan is the city vtec? ULTRa seats? I wonder how come the new civic don't have ULTRa seats? Wound be quite useful feature. honda city has the biggest boot space... 500 litres!!!! which other car has so big? plus if it is vtec model, you got ULTRA seats..... even lagi more space!!! Winhelm Neutral Newbie November 12, 2007 Share November 12, 2007 sometimes it depends on individual; how much stuff you want to store in there, the lesser the easier; clean and neat.
