they are not giving us anything. its our money in the first place. we pay for the tax for the period that we have used.

its not garman sys....its common sense and common logical...just that things were not right in the past... [;)] and to scrap early don't really work...cause u lose out on ARF + Duties....to really encourage...the sys should include some refund on ARF+Duties...frankly speaking to use car dealer to pay u cash for paper at the normal 5% cut is nothing....The paper maybe worth at most 10k for most Jap 1.6...so 5% only $500...with the current inflation....5% is nothing....will you give up driving because of the $500??? or if the $500 really affect so much whether someone drive or not then I think they should not in the first place....refund me my ARF + Duties....I will really considered dropping the car.... Once driven cars for a long time, very few will go back to taking MRT.

Its pack like sardines during peak hours. I would rather be stuck in the traffic jam, at least u are in comfort and enjoying music and not smelling somebody's armpit or given the "U JUST RAPE ME" look from accidentally touching a lady. [:|][:|][:|]

Yea, like charging exorbitant returned cash as income tax!

WHAT!? They gonna charge us our car's scrape value cashback as income?!!? [bounce1][bounce1][bounce1][furious][furious][furious]

Supercharged

aiyoh u silly boy u nvr give her "u jiak my tao hu" look laugh.giflaugh.gif

on this garmen scheme, my eyes crazy.gif n i read as "Garmin New Sys will u Bite" only to find out otherwise.

for those who hv experiences scrapping car, that paper u get back is really worth-Less.

e.g. after scrappg, paper value 10k but if u don't get a car, the dealer will take it of u at 7k so there's a realised loss of 3k.

seeing how lucrative it is, maybe they also want to plug this "income"??

for me, i won't bite cos this is another of their put out small bait to recoup it big time later scheme.

I think this will only benefit those who have 5 cars but only 3 family member driving. Most likely also they have fully paid for the loan for the cars. For the rest of us, after deducting finance and other costs- most likely you will be taxed for the cash rebate- you are left with bones, and worst still, you have no car to drive !

In other words, the rich get richer and poor get poorer.....
