Credor Twincharged April 1, 2006 Share April 1, 2006 Ur Klasse sealent..refer to AOI or SG?? Interest cos mine also on ZAINO. Thanks
Edrollbrick Neutral Newbie April 1, 2006 Share April 1, 2006 Just did mine AIO + SG yesterday, Did not really follow the WOWO method, but left panel to haze enough and was quite easy enough to clean off with microfibre cloth. but it rained... saw Bird-sxxt on 1 spot late this morning , too late, have to AIO that spot to reduce the "etching"" and follow with 2nd coat of SG today. Still have no time to see effects yet, but it is smooth without feeling too oily though. Will see tomorrow if it cures well enough. and if gloss changes. Matthewscl Neutral Newbie April 1, 2006 Share April 1, 2006 AIO is the all in one polish...i am refering to the sealant...SG.. seems quite alright... found this interesting link... http://www.klassevszaino.com/klassevszaino.asp I find Zaino products difficult to get...trying out Klasse.. trying to ask my friend if she's possible to send the Sonus Arclit spritz from US to singapore boh.. Matthewscl Neutral Newbie April 1, 2006 Share April 1, 2006 The WOWO is taught by Adrian..the one who provide mobile Klasse polish service... They are the dealers for Klasse in singapore if i am not wrong... With WOWO, i find the coat is still there leh...maybe next time try the leave on.. someweb say WOWO, some say leave on...dont know which is true.. for zaino, u will coat from 1 panel to the other..then go back to the first panel and wipe off... think the important thing to note is still the " the less the better"..that explains y u can buff off easily??? Edrollbrick Neutral Newbie April 2, 2006 Share April 2, 2006 Yes, I think less the better, ANd also to wet the applicator sponge. This may be the key to the easy wipe off.Left on to haze almost about 5 minutes and polish off. Rained again this afternoon and evening after the morning 3rd coat.. Well have to say, SG coat is definitely there as water beads well and rolls off easy as I drove. Will see how it lasts from now.
XLR8 1st Gear April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 Do you know that Klasse SG can actually highlight watermarks! I just realised it not long ago. The watermarks seemed to surface after using SG. It doesnt happen when using waxes like OCW. Strange.
Ivan96935sg Neutral Newbie April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 hmmm.....something new to me. I've nvr experience that.....been using klasse
Matthewscl Neutral Newbie April 5, 2006 Share April 5, 2006 The best is Sonus brand but sadly not available in Singapore. Next is Eagle One but not easy to get, sometime u can find in Stamford Tyre (Jurong). Black Magic or all others also can be use as QD just remember the QD is not contain Carnaba. Reason is once u use QD that contain carnaba then u may not to layer the SG again due to bonding issue. Yes, never use Black Magic QD as clay lub, it will damage the clay. Use as QD is fine. Marcos Tan Hmm...i am really interested in trying out the Sonus..so far, my collegue auntie staying in US is willingly to help me get..but damage can cost to $30+ per bottle... then i found this thread which is very old...and mentioned about getting Sonus from Eric... http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...g=sonus;#655364 sounds like someone in Singapore can offer this product...anyone knows? Marcostan 4th Gear April 5, 2006 Share April 5, 2006 Matthewscl, I think Eric's Sonus stocks are all sold. If u get someone in US can help u to buy at S$30 including ship to Singapore, then it is a good buy. Recently, I did try out the Finish Kare 425 QD. The result is good and it make the SG layer very very slick. Sonus will make the SG very shiny but the slick will go in 1-2 days, while 425 will make the SG look a bit warmer and the slick can last arouond 5-6 days. If u want to try out 425, I can spare some to u but tell u it's not cheap MarcosTan
Matthewscl Neutral Newbie April 6, 2006 Share April 6, 2006 Ex ah...hmmm...i am using Z6 which cost about $23. My purpose is to remove fresh water marks...and Z6 seems to work quite well. shiny sleek wise..i dont really mine cos my current parking condition will make the car looks dull within a day...hahhahaha.. i only never wash car for 2 days (2 consecative raining days) and i gana water mark liao...cos my parking area is open...rain..then dry/baked under the sun... :(
Nerdie Neutral Newbie April 6, 2006 Share April 6, 2006 Ya i get water marks quite easily with sealant also - Btw, use QD before or after sealant on?
Matthewscl Neutral Newbie April 6, 2006 Share April 6, 2006 (edited) i use before sealant...on those stubborn stains... after a while owning a car for the first time, my passion to maintain it shiny seems getting lower and lower..hahahha.. understanding the impossibility to make it without swirls, without water marks...the only thing to do is..come back wash every day after rain...but thats too tedious to do liao.. soon i think...i might leave it as it is..... Nerdie Neutral Newbie April 9, 2006 Share April 9, 2006 Ya man, nowadays rain so much, a lot of water marks!! Sealant also cannot prevent
Marcostan 4th Gear April 9, 2006 Share April 9, 2006 The only way to prevent water marks is try to dry your ride after rain and try not to let it dry by SUN. No other way
Nerdie Neutral Newbie April 10, 2006 Share April 10, 2006 Will they be permanent?
Matthewscl Neutral Newbie April 10, 2006 Share April 10, 2006 but logically speaking, if theres a protection between the paints, the rain will etched on the protection layer and using AIO to remove the layer and then seal again? but some how, it doesnt happen leh... and like what u said, recently keep raining...cannot keep wiping leh...i only go down for a while to wipe car after rain, gana my wife left right center liao..hahahhaa...girls always dont understand the passion we guys have on cars..hahahha
Marcostan 4th Gear April 10, 2006 Share April 10, 2006 If u paintwork was well protected, the watermarks are quite easy to take off. On the other hand if you just leave those watermarks and don't do anything for say 7 days. Then, it's problem to take it out, seems they are itching into the paintwork already ↡ Advertisement
