But the problem is it is very very common today. Everyday, sure to see one on the road! Maybe resale value will be poor in future when many are tired of this car and wants to sell at the same time. Nice zippy car to drive around with lots of attention and eyes looking at you. it's a bit bumpy thou and getting in and out of the car can be a chore if you are rather big in size. Handling is superub and amazing even in stock condition and petrol consumption is rather good at 13km/litre. only thing which is a good thing for me is cannot fetch other pple other than your gf. Albeniz Turbocharged July 31, 2008 Share July 31, 2008 copen is rather impractical.. only can sit 2 person with no luggage space.. machaim like riding bike except got roof and aircon.. Daihatsu is capable of producing small, cute vehicles. I used to drive a 659cc Hijet and it fitted into your description of 2 scooters tied in parallel sharing a common metal cover. How many times have you lived your life based on satisfactory and getting the shiok feeling (sometimes you might regret later). Isn't that what's life all about. I chose to buy Lancer Ex over Copen and its like settling for someone who loves you more than somemore whom you are crazy about. I know i know, life isnt all about getting what you want. Deep down in my heart i know i would be happier with a Copen. 1) Price vs engine cc should never been an issue. You are buying a lifestyle, you are building a persona. Know anything about personal branding? ($5 durian vs a $20 Mao Shan Wang) 2) Novelty cars are good investment. You have people more future buyers unlike mainstream cars like mine. (MX5 phenomenon) 3)60k a big risk? No. A matter of affordability and you must know you will be able to sell it easily to someone in future. 4)How tall are you? if you are 175cm onwards, you might feel claustrophobic. (Be mentally prepared) Ah si wa wu ji ba ban ........ Please dont flame me for not buying copen and asking people to buy. I agree that it is a "fun" car and not a day-day car for most of them. Ideal if it is your 2nd or toy car or collection . It is positioned and catered for that market segment. There is no right or wrong...as long as you feel good with it, right? If you think you love it, just get it! Else if you need a practical car...get something else. In conclusion, whether worth it or not, it all depends on your need and perception! Cheers! There are so many positive/negative comment from different ppl but i think most important is how he thinks and not what we think =) Trust me, the boot space is not that small. Someone said his motorcycle box is even bigger than the copen's boot space. i had a good laugh at that statement he'd made. I own and drives a copen. i could squeeze in a slightly smaller sized luggage and a additional trolley bag into its tiny boot. When i 1st decided to go view the copen at the PI showroom, the very 1st thing i said to the PI was 'Can i have a look at the boot?' that was my exact 1st question. Steam Neutral Newbie July 31, 2008 Share July 31, 2008 actually in de 1st place he didn't tink of getting a copen.his mind was all abt wrx, integra, etc...all de "sports" cars.den i asked him to reconsider de financial commitment he will b in...he can afford it la...but being self employed...anything can happen.den i pointed out to him de copen...den from den on he got hooked. almost everyday after dat kept calling me talking abt dis car. Maybe he'll change his mind if he sees this muscle well, yes if it is affordble to him. btw, muusle = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...if u can spare, then get it lor. think twice...
