Kelpie 2nd Gear November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 Assuming you're looking for a 200bhp car, would you prefer a stock NA car that yield 200bhp or a Turbo-Charge car that also give you 200bhp? Regards, ↡ Advertisement

Mustank Hypersonic November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 turbo: 1) NA cannot fit turbo if want to fit later on 2) can sell away turbo to others whose turbo already busted, then fix variable turbo 3) can upsize turbo 4) i think if light footed, turbo save on petrol

Roh96 6th Gear November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 TC. Bcos it is easier to squeeze more power from TC than NA like adjusting the boost whereas for NA u need to do alot.
Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 TC simply because they have better torque.
Friendstar Supercharged November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 Turbo! NA must hit very high RPM to achieve the desired bhp. unless u talking about 6000cc V12 NA.

Saabretooth 2nd Gear November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 Depending on driving style. amount of stress you're putting the car under (read tracking), future mods or not? For daily driving, I'd suggest TC. for the same amount of hp, you'll likely get fatter torque in the lower rpms, helps with driving, overtaking, and power to get you out of stuck positions. For future mods, with just an ECU change, you could add anywhere from 20-40hp without hardware changes. But if you want linearity, few TC cars are linear in power delivery. For tracking, TC cars heat up real fast, 5 laps at a time vs 8-10 laps at a time. After a while, gunning the car at high rpms just to access the last bit of power can get a bit tiring. For me, if its only one car, I'll do TC.
Boyboy 1st Gear November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 if cannot (or don't intend to) mod, NA. in reality where i might wanna mod, turbo. more leeway to increase bhp
BMW320i Neutral Newbie November 5, 2008 Share November 5, 2008 Deciding between NA and TC is like deciding red or green apples. There are just way too many factors to consider when it comes to either NA or TC. Also there are no excuses over the overheating of TC. Just because its NA does not mean you escape from high oil pressure. Without proper supporting mods, both will be prone to overheating at the track. ↡ Advertisement
