Pisces69 6th Gear January 31, 2010 Share January 31, 2010 My comments after test-drive... Engine is same as the new Satria Neo CPS. It's seriously under-powered when driving with 4 adults inside... Funny rattling sound from the dashboard when the engine revs hard. Overall interior finishing not too bad. Feels comfortable when driving and as a rear passenger too. Rear seats should be reconfigured so that can adjust laterally and fold flat (such as Honda Fit/Jazz). IMO, can consider other models on the market... unless Proton can market the Exora at a very competitive price in SGP. ================= Ya I figurred it wud b under=powered cos of the size & only 1.6lit. I guess its more suited fr MY market as a cheap people mover there as most pple need a car to move around. In MY it sud b very cheap unlike here. A good example is the Proton Persona, which is just a Gen2 with a boot, is selling for only abt RM49K in MY which is only a bit more than S$20K. In SG they might not b popular cos it has no power to zoom zoom around, especially with a full load of passengers & Im sure the price wud b around S$60-S$70K at least. GoodCar 4th Gear February 1, 2010 Share February 1, 2010 ============= U mean the Exora is called Kijang Innova in Indo? No lah, What I mean was Toyota Innova was known as Kijang Innova in Indo. It is a totally different from the old Kijang. Indo also selling Exora, but there are more Kijang Innova and Toyota Avante on the road. Also a lot of Terios and rush. There are also some taxi using Proton wira but not many.

Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear February 1, 2010 Share February 1, 2010 bro, it's Toyota Avanza, not Avante...that belongs to Hyundai... i can see why the Avanza and Innova is selling really well in Malaysia and Indonesia... Avanza has 1.3 and 1.5 engines, Innova is their version of the Picnic, having a 2.0L engine... i should think the Avanza will sell like hot cakes it ever sold in singapore...but must be cheaper than Sienta and Passo Sette which it's rivalling... SGXora Clutched February 1, 2010 Share February 1, 2010 i placed the booking on 1st week November and only collect my ride on 30 December. according to my SA, the export version will have to go thru more thorough check before ship out from factory. In MY, the car can be collect less then a month or even faster.
SGXora Clutched February 1, 2010 Share February 1, 2010 it depend on what you want to achive, Exora is the family car, so long it can take the whole family and yet in confort condition, i am happy with it. CPS engine ( perhaps only for Exora) run different from my previous Lancer , you have to really drive it ( every day, not test drive only), then you will feel the diffrent. The pickup of the ride is fine to me, but i have to admit in some condition ( Benjamin Bridge or go up to multistorey carpark), you may find the car is under power. But remember, Exora come with 3rd gear as well, just make use of this gear[rolleyes] ↡ Advertisement
