may i suggest you go thu this article on the new exora

maybe your above comments may apply on the 1st generation protons.

you'll be surprise to know that some of the items not even found on some jap cars.

OMG... i almost drop my jaw when i read thru the link u posted..:blink:

Forget abt Japs ride. Popular MPV like Stream n Wish is priced at the insane level. The cheap plastic interior and the bare minimum features... some people may argue that Japanese car is safer... my foot! if Proton is Milo tin, then i can say that many Japs car are coke tin! i bet those poeple never owns a Japs car before.

I own a Vios and my father own an altis, i can tell u that the body of this 2 car is not anything harder than proton. seen so may Japs mid size saloon turned into metal sheet when crushed by larger vehicle in HW. .. I wonder y people are paying for the H and T badges... Even when comparing with Caren, one of the most value for money MPV in the market, Exora wins Caren a lot in turns of value!!.

Think I will go down to proton and take a look if i intended to get another OPC MPV!

"This is going to be long, so be patient"

The exora is the car that Proton has- to redeem themselves for the past.

No other make have packed in so many features in a car at such a price.

Coming in late in the mpv segment means getting all the good things found

on other mpv which have been tried & tested. One example, aircon vents even at

the third row. now name me a mpv that has that at this price?

I am no SE or proton employee. But I have been very interested to find

out more about the MPV since its birth in M'sia till now before finally

deciding to sign on the dotted lines.

Prior to this, I thought that I would most likely end up with a wish or stream

but after comparing the prices. I'll be foolish not to enjoy this promo from proton.

I am all smiles now as my savings of more than $20k was one of my best decision

I have ever made in my whole life.

Of course, there were doubts about safety & reliability issues but all these

were addressed after much assurance by exora owners in M'sia & S'pore.

Futhermore, having owned a "wira" aeroback some years back showed that

it wasn't a trouble maker or a "curse"--only thing- close friends just wondered

why a proton-sure they thought I got better taste- but for me, I was able

to look pass the badge & look at the heart of the car.

Yes. dont expect the 1.6 campo engine to be a speed box. anyway why

would you be driving the exora at 150km & above with your family of seven.

That would be irresponsible of you-putting them at that kind of risk.

Sorry! got to go now- still got lots to share, will be back!

Can the 2nd row slide yet? find 3rd row too cramp and 2nd row too spacious. sigh if only proton learns ALL the good things from the japs about designing MPVs instead of just some of the good things.

if 2nd row can slide my next car will be malaysian.

the 2nd row seat can't slide, Proton introduce the fold machanism which i find it quite OK. Share a bit my experience with my ride during CNY ( went visit relative in Malaysia) , i have to say the enjoyment of riding is wonder and pickup or overtake not an issue at all. Coming back time, 5 adults + 4 kids [:p] ( i know, its illegal but the ticket all sold out), space, no problem at all. :D

seriously you don't need leather seats in our hot climate lah...

park under the hot sun for some time...try seating on the leather seats...

fabric still the best...

to address the cramp 3rd row, just add extra cushions on the 3rd row seats...

increase ride height so you won't feel cramp...and you're making use of the huge amount of headroom you have!!

great car the Exora!!

[thumbsup]

If you are a family man with kids then, you will know who takes the 3rd row most times.

adults usually the 2nd or 1st row- so even if fixed 2nd row still fine. more than enough space

for kids back at 3rd row.

Anyhow dont have to every time reset the 2nd row seat in order to release 3rd row seats

to load in items--just push it down & there you go..if really an adult is seating at 3rd row &

needs that extra leg room, just tumble forward one side of 2nd row.. seating pattern is

very flexible on exora--refer to my earilier post on features---you're be amazed!! :D

Dont let the fixed 2nd row stop you from owing an exora--Still driving your H freed?
