SGXora Clutched March 27, 2010 Share March 27, 2010 Hi Guys! just went for the 1k SERVICING. 1. Rectified the "TUT" TUT" sound.front suspension was loose.SC says it was a bit loose and they lubricate the parts. So far when through the humps no more TuT TuT sound 2. As for the petrol smell, SC have checked for leakages and have tighten the top part of the intake fuel delivery system.(Still need to test out ) So far so good! when go for 5k servicing, i will tell them to rectify mine ride too. today topup petrol full tank, but no more (petrol) smell from cabin after top up, quite strange. the different was i just change the thermo Amp recently, not sure SC did anything? Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear March 28, 2010 Share March 28, 2010 i think Proton has been holding on the same price since COE increased the last time round... Kia C&C increased their CAT B cars by $15,000... they also have been holding back quite a number of COE increases... so this explains your answer??? Alanqmo Neutral Newbie March 28, 2010 Share March 28, 2010 Hi, mine also. with a slight click click sound near the aircon vent on the extreme right. Usually it happens when on a long travel. Got one time on the left also. Highlight to service centre at 1000KM servicing. But the serviceman found no such disturbing sound when he tested( note he only drive around leng kee area for less than 10 min). Anybody care to suggest? Cheers Hi Human, I would suggest that all the above items listed be immediately reported to the service manager direct. As most times the manager does not know about these things to render an action of enquiry to the matter- usually the SA filters them at their level thus so doing, the technician concern gets away scotts-free. And most likely do it again to some other exora owner... Now I got to check my tire pressure & the engine compartment...... Fortunately, my trip to melaka & back didnt result in a disaster. Panhard 1st Gear March 28, 2010 Share March 28, 2010 just back from melaka trip this evening... left spore with 1,450km on mileage. maintain speed of 120km constant cos (still running-in) car seem very stable & road noise minimum. vehicle load- 3 adults & a 10 month old baby. engine humming loud at times esp. overtaking above 4,000 rpm- auto gear works well most times, only on 1 or 2 occasion didnt shift till pass 4,000rpm-maybe still not used to its shifting style. ran the exora non stop from spore home to melaka home without any stop breaks in between. total time 2.5 hrs, total distance travelled one way-250km checked oil level next morning- maintain at same level-no drop(using idemitsu 10w30 oil) set a/con temp switch at lowest setting--no freeze.( air con still cold enough) dropped by proton edar melaka service centre located at lot 5173 jalan tun fatima, mukim bachang--tel: 06-3366481. very spacious place with big service bays( unlike at leng kee) managed to speak to an advisor(forgot to get his name) who claims those items mentioned on this forum are actually minor issues which our local agent should be able to rectify without any hitch!- as all authorised distributor would have got the factory service bulletin stating the items to check on every exora when the vehicle visits the SC.( either complained or not should be rectified) also bought the original exora oil filter RM$12.20 & a set of 4 original spark plugs RM$38.00 as spare.... also managed to install door visors set rm$95.00 & bonnet heat insulators rm$45.00-all includes installation at a local shop called "brothers" some where near the proton edar centre. -will post photos soon to show you guys! SGXora Clutched March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 3. in the manual book tyre pressure suppose to be front 210 KPA and rear 250KPA, when did a pressure check on all the tyres, all four of them are at 312KPA, please check ur typre pressure guys. for new ride, the tyre pressure always higher then the usual require, i guess by doing this, driver can feel the steering more "lighter" Right now , i always manitain at 32 (ard 220-230) and regularly check on weekly basic

Cheers my greatest fear came thru.....check the tire pressure this morning & guess what? all tyres were set at 270kpa...i dont think they checked the pressure at 1st svcs 2 weeks ago- so this could have been set either at the factory or during PDI. after setting to specs--210kpa-front and 250kpa-rear.....noticed front tyres looks like under inflated.. its is alright? Just to make clear something.....not trying to be nasty here. but rather i feel we as owners have the right to deserve at least a decent service- one that when we collect our cars will not develop into another fault or require us to make a return trip. the manager needs feedback like this from us so that measures can be put in place to ensure service requirements are met & such incidents prevented thru proper checking procedures.... more often the other....its been filtered at a certain level. Human Clutched March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 After filling the required tyre pressure when hit 120KM/H the steering wheel started to vibrate a bit. Do you guys have the same experience like me? If yes do i need to do a wheel balancing?
Panhard 1st Gear March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 2. Front left suspension nut missing, suppose to be 4 now 3 only checked on mine-- the suspension mounting has 3 nuts & a threaded bolt on both sides. - the one on the right side of the car is used to secure a bracket so it has a nut. the one on the left side is not being used to secure anything, so no nut. I think that is normal.
