Not rich la co-owned with my bro in law.Me & my wife still drive the Saga except if i travel up north with my kids then use Exora.Go to work ride Motorbike.Anyway change from Silver to white with leathers and spoiler all 60K :angry:

ya, my pleasure to meet you and the other brother, gain more experience and info about our ride. really envy what the other brother did for his ride, looking forward to get in touch with him to have more info about those installed thingy

 

Did my 5K servicing, cost me abt $66.00 , changed oil filter, gasket , Mobil super 1000 mineral oil and windshield washer. also asked the mechanic to check on my brake for the "squeeze" sound, this happen when just started to move the car especially in the morning. Still monitoring after SC serviced the brake.

 

As for windshield washer, at first thinking to tell the SC no need to change, but every time using the wiper, the sound quite irritating ( can the Exorian share your experience) , hopefully after using the so call "recommended" washer will solve this problem.

nice meeting u too. hope to b able to meet agn in future. anyway...jus to let all the guys here know. during my 1k servicing, i paid abt $19. yes...it's more than wat a lot r paying, which is abt $12. the xtra $7 is for......windshield washer. u might ask wat the heck is that, which i did. (dunno if it's me who is suaku). it's a liquid they put into the wiper water tank. something like soap water. i was like WTF! $7 for water to wash my windscreen???

 

i nvr like to use soap water for the wiper. it makes the sides of the windscreen dirtier. n to pay $7 for that?!?!! they didn't even ask me whether i want it or not. bloody hell...

my guess is these few days raining n owners are complaining noise from wiper blades....i believe these washer fluid helps

soften the wiper rubbers so that they dont judder n make noise.

 

well, as for the "tat" sound when engage "R" or "D". already tested with foreman...no answers yet!--my guess is that it

comes from the gearbox---either some adjustment or worse gearbox stripped to check... :angry:

that's y. n after wiping, u will hv water marks at the sides which r not reachable by the wiper. if use plain water there wont b any, or a lot less. gonna use up this stupid fluid quickly n change back to water.

bro, there is a slight rattling/clicking sound under the front dashboard at drivers side,

where the brake pedals are. happens only when brake pedal is pressed.....

 

dont know if its the same sound you mention that day.

 

from what I know its coming from the brake booster assy.-its an operation sound.

 

also slight clicking sound from below front dashboard at passenger side--not sure from where??

 

both these sounds only clear when radio turned off.....

Below is the recommendation by Michelin Tyres...found it useful when it comes to the correct pressure to fill your tyres.

so if filling tyre when hot for exora-follow this guide-- front 34-35 psi (237-245 kpa) rear 36-37 psi (277-284 kpa)

 

 

Check the pressure of your tyres, including your spare, monthly and before any long journey, preferably when your tyres are cold. If they are hot (after 1.5km of drive), it is advisable to add 4-5 psi (27.56-34.45 kpa) to the pressure recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. (1psi-6.89kpa)

 

 

Correct tyre pressure reduces the risk of losing control of your vehicle. It also protects your tyres from premature wear and irreversible damage to the internal construction. Tyre pressure can drop due to small perforations, the natural escape of air through the tyre's components or even from a decrease in ambient temperatures. So it is important to check it once a month, because:

• Low pressure increases the risk of damage to your tyres
• Excess pressure of 20% can reduce the life of your tyre by up to 10,000 kms
• Correct tyre pressure will even save fuel

The recommended tyre pressure can be found:

 

• In the User's Manual of your vehicle
• On the labels on the side door beside the driver's seat
• In the storage drawer near the driver's seat
• On the inside of the fuel flap

But NOT on the tyre. The inflation pressure shown on the tyre sidewall is only the maximum tyre inflation pressure.

read frm other post, the both side small piece of plastic thingy ( near triangle windows) will sometime generate sound too but not that obvious. the solution is to place some form tape between the gap, hv not try mine yet

best to pump ur tyres when u jus drive out. if ur house nearby petrol station better. go straight there n pump tyres. that's when the temp still cool.

only thing is got to get the car to KL, kepong to get it done.

wonder if any others out there keen. if there is a number-will see if this guy wants to make a trip here??
