Also noticed the expiry date print between shell kiosk & Gaint is different. Maybe different packing house.

Shell should sue. But if don't use, does it means it's theirs? They just selling it through the back door...

*sue

One other possibility is shell kiosk running cost is high, thus everything there is expensive. Especially when it's operating 24 hours. Just like 7-11.

That's why SHU is about 2x..

Could be parallel imports. Like Coke/10 Plus etc.  Buy at supermarkets always more expensive compared to neighbourhood discount store.  I can say they are the same except prices, drink no problem de.

What more EO is something that you put into your car not your body!

Maybe Singaporeans easily conned to believe paying more equates to getting better quality from ministars to engine oil....

I have been using SHU since Giant started selling. Maybe last 5 years. Engine runs fine.

It's puzzling Shell doesn't takes any action against Mega Mart like NTUC or Giant for selling their product without license. Sure win in Court for infringement. But suing NTUC? A govt owned entity?

Another logical explaination is that Shell Kiosk is 2x the price of Giant is because Shell has to pay $ million to auction the Kiosk. Then has to operate 24/7. With such high operating cost, they have to markup more.

Another reason not to to sue is because Shell is actually selling to all interested parties at the same price and it's up to the retailers to markup to their desire price.

She'll helix ultra sold in Gaint at $30-$50. Selling in shell petrol kiosk at $113. So different.

Called shell hotline. They advise only buy at shell petrol kiosk. Gaint or ntuc helix, real or not?

*Shell

What's is real for me is that I saved $$$ whenever I send my beemers for oil change. Each time needed 7liters & used to be charged nearly $300 just for the EO itself. And the cars are still running fine.

Simple lah guys....If its fake, Shell will have taken NTUC and GIANT to courts already. Shell is a big n reputable company. It definitely got the financial means to do it.

The ones that claim Shell oils are fake could be workshops themselves. Why? Because they lose money if everyone start using the so called"FAKE" oils

It's parallel imports.

Shell, even Mobil want to protect local market. It's market segmentation and price protection.

When you asked them what's the difference?, the answer is "fake" so that you will pay premium price.

Is the same comparing items sold at value shop and fairprice. Not fakes just different sources. The operating cost in Singapore is much higher so local distributors always charge at a premium even when cost price is relatively cheap.

Last month I bought my SHU from Gaint at near $40. I was told by friends shell is using PurePlus technology.  Later I did a double check, NTUC and Gaint is selling SHU I with Active Cleansing Technology. The label indicate it the mfg is Shell Hamburg.

Can't find SHU I with Active Cleansing Technology anywhere. In Sgp, Shell Kiosk is selling SHU using PurePlus technology. Made in Hong Kong.
