Ordering DVDs online, will Customs confiscate?

I wanted to buy a DVD boxset on some old-school cartoon series......I know there are other "cheaper" sources or even youtube but I want the boxset due to many special items and features.

Local HMV do sell them but at twice the price from the internet...I just can't have the heart to put so much money for nostalgia's sake.

Anyone order or bought movies/series from overseas? Via ebay or amazon? Will Singapore Custom check and confiscate?

Any advise on how to bring them in?

Why would they confiscate? Unless it's some XXX-rated, illegal bootleg film.

Otherwise can what. No problems one.

Just order online lor.

try amazon

So far, i don't have any problem with the custom clearance.

Like some bros said, as long as it is not porn, you shouldn't be worried.

Wanna share some experience with you on amazon.com

Few years ago, I ordered the "Lord of the Ring", and it turned out that the 2nd disc was defective.

I wrote an email to them about the defective 2nd disc and they sent a replacement set immediately. No question asked.

I don't even have to return the 1st set to them.

That's waz i like about amazon.com

Several things can happen.

If by normal post good chance it'll bypass custom ends up straight to your house. Courier services such as DHL, very likely will ends up at MDA for certification.

In the event it's intercepted by custom, it'll be sent to MDA for certification. You'll received a notification to go to MDA to open the package and they will certify your DVDs in about 1 weeks time. If your DVD passed, pay some fees(last time was $2 per cert sticker). If DVD didn't pass, you have the option to sent it out(postage paid by you) of singapore to another overseas address or you can authorise them to destroy your DVDs.

They dun confiscate lah. But they will at most sent you a letter saying that the DVDs will be sent to the censorship board to be certified the rating is correct after that ask you go there to collect.

Neutral Newbie

https://app.mda.gov.sg/Classification/Search/Film/

Go check the disc so long M18 below should not have problem

the database is not exhausive so questionable disc its your call.

Another way go to Gramaphone , others see what disc they have then bring in those title lah

If you use borderlinx they can reject M18 disc so use them at your own risk

Amazon US direct is better.

Amazon UK frieght is cheaper

If you can tahan till November for your bulk of purchase Amazon have good Black Friday sales

I bought Saving Pte Ryan (unedited version) through Amazon many many years ago. No issue even though it was RA in Singapore.
