To shop for Mazda at TEK, I would recommend their Ubi showroom which is much larger than their one at Leng Kee. The SE Amy Sim at Ubi who served me and my wife is professional and provides good after sales service.

Bought a 2.5 premium from Amy too. She added a Brillia paint protection.

My group alot driving it,same as Saloon...except more space behind.

The wheelbase for the wagon is shorter than the sedan.

 

Length also slightly shorted.

 

Wagon only comes in luxury version now.

Wheelbase is 2830 for the sedan and 2750 for the wagon.

 

That means Wheelbase is 8 cm shorter for the wagon.

Definitely not. I switched from BMW 3 series to Mazda 6. The ride, handling and finishing much better. BMW turbo engine get sudden turbo boost which makes car feels powerful. Even though power is 136 for BMW vs 192 for the Mazda 6.

 

I test drove the Mercedes E class. Didn't think if felt that much different to the Mazda 6 even though price is double. Tyre noise of Merc quite significant.

For na engine the hp curve is linear, so if you are driving at 2-3000 rpm, you are probably only getting like 60hp. To get 192hp one needs to drive at max rpm.

 

Modern turbocharged engines have hp curves that rise quickly within the first 3-4000 rpm then shallow off. At 2-3000 rpm you are probably getting about 80 percent of the rated hp, which for the bmw may be 100hp.

 

For highway driving tc engine will be able to sustain higher gear and overtake easier without downshifting.

 

If you compare two similarly powered na and tc engine, the tc will be faster during initial acceleration. The na will only catch up if it has a higher rating and is driven to max rpm.

Mazda 2.5 Torque is way better than a small TC engine....

The Civic 1.5 Turbo has 170 bhp & 220 NM.

 

The Mazda 6 2.5L has 189 bhp and 256 NM.

 

Not a lot of difference... and if the 1.5 turbo is tuned higher, the torque will be comparable.

 

Whether or not the turbo matches a larger normally aspirated engine depends on the state of tune...
