Looks good. Is your car the latest version? It claim to have much better NVH than the earlier version.

Yes 2018 version. NVH is definitely better than previous models but traffic noise is still quite intrusive. Tire noise is less than previous model but not Camry or Teana quiet. Might be the stock Bridgestone tires. But that is supposed to be a quiet tire. Not sure if Michelin Primacy 4 is quieter. Anyone has any experience with Michelin?

Your second last picture, there is a paint chip? I had a similar one, not sure whether should handle it (just to avoid rust).

There is no paint chip. You can try paint markers if the chip is not too deep. Ive seen them in the petrol station.

I have also added a rubber strip along the trunk to prevent rubbish and small leaves to slip in the gap. Seems to fit nicely.

Hi Edwin,

I changed to primacy 4 ST after about 1 mth of collecting the fl 2018 mazda 6 executive .. as I have great experience with primacy 3 ST in qashqai and also forester xt.

It is quieter than stock for sure but if you look at what I believe is even quieter primacy 3 st, the thread designs had changed to what I believe is noiser .. now more like lattitude sports despite michelin claim that it is 0.5db quieter than primacy 3 st.

Cheers.

Richard

Just installed some rubber strips from AliExpress. Cuts about 70% of wind and traffic noise. Now the sound of passing cars are less intrusive into the cabin.

Any provide link to aliexpress?

What qty you bought to cover all doors?

Can please tell where to buy the strips from? I thought of doing what you have done just to make the cabin quieter. Thank you.

Hi smith,

Affirmative fl mazda 6 is obviously betta on nvh than preFL ... I drove my neighbour's 3-4 mths old preFL to swap rims him with him cos wife and I prefers dark silver and no gun metal ones on white.

Prefl's HUD is the older flip up plastic screen type ...

Cheers.

Hi Teo,

Use them sparingly else you will find closing doors a chore ...

You will also need to replace them toward 12 mths old if not already dropped off cos often flatten by then .. no fun pulling out tiong 3A taped seals.

Yes, done this small and big D tiong seals before which also brought me to preferred Japanese Amon ones.

Cheers.

Use Small D for doors otherwise closing will be difficult. Z type is also very useful in closing gaps. Here is the link. Good quality rubber.

Don’t bother wih the one with the metal strip inside. They don’t fit well.

Bro, my recommendation is seal it off with touch up paint.

Rust from inside is not fun, I learn my lesson hard from my old car :(

I bought below from Mazda Svc center at $14+

Hi Ching,

I buy directly from Japan via sendico but guess you can buy from buyee directly:

From my experience, I hv to take out the micro sd card. Put it into windows machine. Blaupunkt have a Windows version software. Install it. Only with their software I can "download" and able to see rear camera. Not sure if any other owner have better way of accessing video.

Thanks for the info. Same here, have to take out the micro SD card if I want to copy the video. Kinda troublesome that I can't do this on the mobile. If I view without using the Blaupunkt software, can only see the front footage but not the rear.
