hihi

can i check how can the map be updated? Mazda CSO told me i had to head down to the service centre to do so.

Download the Mazda toolbox and install on your PC. Follow the guide of the toolbox (you need the Mazda SD card with you).

http://infotainment.mazdahandsfree.com/navigation-updatemymaps?language=en-EU

I checked again.

InkedMapVersion_LI.jpg

Click on Update and it say no update all available update are installed on the device

InkedUpdate_L2.jpg

Another way to interpret (maybe wrong)

Device version is 2017Q4 and the latest map is June 2018, this is the latest versioning available

When click update, it check that against what is in SD Card and see whether the update is needed.

So it is a matter of poor information presentation, if its what I think it is.

Bro S2s1, when did your collected your car? recently as well? just to time check

Regards

I collected last November.

Neutral Newbie

Anyone with the reverse camera being slightly out of alignment, resulting in the car always being slightly slanted when relying the camera to gauge during reverse parking. Thanks!

If the rear view camera isn't exactly located in the centre line of the car, the car will be slanted if you depend on the reverse guidelines...

Friend got a new mz6 at 96k. Worth getting?

Depends on what's "worth getting" to you.

If all you want is a well-finished basic car with just 6 airbags, no driver assistive features, no "niceties" such as keyless entry, LED daytime-running-lights, etc. Then yes, The Mazda 6 standard is a car that is worth getting because you do get quite a bit of car for your money.

For services at TEK, do they follow mileage only, or mileage and time (e.g. half year) whichever come earlier?

They follow mileage and time whichever comes first, which is 10,000km in 6 months’ time. For example, if you clock 7K km only from the last servicing, you still need to send your car to their service centre when the 6 months is up if you car comes with the free servicing.

Thanks. Once free service by tek is ended, can use outside workshop and follow mileage only.

Hi Pass,

Normal for tyres to be slightly more noisy after your rotate since the idea for rotating is for durability to balance out the wear.

Try to run the palm of your hands on the noisy front tyre to feel if wavy or see if any obvious uneven wear which bad dampers and non aligned rear can cause it respectively.

Dun know how old your car and tyres as well as if your rear had been done alignment ....

Cheers,

Richard

My car is only 6 months old and has done alignment during car servicing.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your advice and will go back to eurokar... However I am very disappointed with mazda after sales service cos usually car servicing is to improve car performance and reliability. But instead it caused me with uncomfortable driving.

Hi Pass,

Please keep us informed .. I had slight vibration of steering of my 3 months old FL mazda 6 but only to find out it was due to adding external tpms sensors without rebalancing which eurokar nicely balanced for me.

Guess all production and car brands have their share of issues and not only mazda ... infamous oil leak issue with BMW's 3 and 5 series and VW's dsg clutch failures as points to case at even higher price points.

My Jap friends do not wish for mazda only for the reason that they are well known for not initiating recall as compared to toyota, subaru etc.. despite field complains.

Cheers.

Richard
