Is yours the older Teana 2.5L V6?

That one has awesome power though.

Having driven mz6 standard for about 6 months, the FC is v good at 7.3. Was bothered by the noise initially, but could get used to it after a few weeks. Although I paid a higher price compared to the 2018 model, I still feel that it is good value. I saw a new mz6 recently, it seem a bit ‘fatter’ as compared to the 2017 model which is ‘slimmer’

Not sure about whether it's an optical illusion because of the wider front grille and some subtle changes to the curves. Because dimensions-wise, it's stated online that it's identical to the 2017 model (except for a 5 mm increase in length).

What was the occasion? New launch, special offer? I though business cant be so good in a normal weekend, especially just right after a car show recently. Edited by Ct3833

Hi Gabdat,

Thanks ... no man, interior is standard beige and guess nothing much to show.

Somehow white dun fit the darkish rim and will be swapping them out for pre FL silver ones.

Initial findings are that:

Pros:

- Champion hidden headup display with speed, road speed limit and most importantly, wonderful bsm warning included .. very nice !

- Indeed FC is very good at 7l+/100km and correct by bros here on 2.0 or 2.5 NA ... betta than qashqai 1.2 turbo

- visibility is good

- getting in and out is fine as compared to preferred SUV

- coming from android headunit with googlemap, waze etc., nav sucks big time and deem almost unuseable

Cons:

- stock dvr cam blocks half the windscreen .. need to slim type

- not for spirited driving .. engine is vocal when pushed

- wind noise and road noise are apparent .. not helped by sporty bridgestones turanza tyres which I guess grips well

This is in comparison with my extensively soundproofed forester xt .. and overall a great buy still for my wife with notable good FC with safety gadgetries at a good price.

Cheers.

Richard

I think the darker rims look sportier and won't be so dirty when brake dust stain on it.

I think it's just a matter of time to get used to it.

Hi Bros,

Fireball Butterfly coatings done yesterday feom 11 am and collected at 9 pm ... had fireball blood devil on qashqai and forester xt but decided on higher end version since found it quite useful to ease cleaning and kim kim.

Btw, going to Service Center today cos found steering vibrates at >75kmhr which should not be the case :(

Still yet to know what is integrated foglight since there is none separate ones .. keke !

Will try to get thinkware F770 done today as CO really cannot stand stock one hanging between mirror and dash ... newer version of F800 has inferior cable mgmt without cover to avoid mess and decided to stay with older F770.

Cheers.

congrats on ur new car

7+l/100km is quite good for a big car.

But turanza is supposed to be BS's touring tyre which is low on noise and comfortable.

Hi SZ,

Thanks man !

On the Turanza, I am used to ultra low noise of Michelin Primacy 3 ST then .... and yes, I am also surprised with 7.5l/100km or >12km/l FC whille noting that it is quite sedated from idling 750 rpm to 1.5k rpm unlike my Forester XT that sprints from 750 rpm to 2k rpm in seconds at the expense of FC at >11l/100km or 8-9km/l FC for my typical but subjective driving style and travel pattern just for comparison... ouch !

However, you can look at the threads with much bigger contact pads of Turanza as compared to Michelin Primacy 3 ST or other typical low noise tyres and it is reasonable for them to be noiser .... marketing BS needs to be weighed.  Unless they do not know how to make low noise/comfort tyres and yet grippy enough like Michelin but I am not surprised after experiencing stock Forester XT's Bridgestones Dueler SUV tyres that slips on concrete mscp or painted surfaces in my office carpark.

Cheers,

Richard

Congrats on your new ride. My guess is that quieter tyres cost less than extensive soundproofing.

Anyone has any idea if the boot can fit 2 pcs of 29 inch luggage?

I travel with family and often need to large luggage to fit all the clothings.

Thanks.
