Dt1212 Clutched January 3, 2019 Share January 3, 2019 Hi, I had similar issue after collecting my car in Feb last year. The knocking sounds were heard shortly after and had been there despite numerous trips to LK workshop to service the brakes and changing of brake pads. Couldnt take it anymore, so made a complaint to their customer service manager in Oct. The issue was finally resolved after the both set of front brake calipers were replaced last month. You may want to discuss with the technical advisor on this during your next visit. Thanks Smokey for this information. Will ask the technical advisor to test drive and rectify the issue. During my last few visits, just the service consultant is involved and problems cannot be solved. ↡ Advertisement

I wasted so many leave just to go down for checks other than during servicing.
Lala81 Hypersonic January 3, 2019 Share January 3, 2019 (edited) SGCM just released an article for the upcoming new cars for 2019. Mazda is missing in the list. Honda will be bringing in their new Accord (FINALLY). This means stiffer competition within the large family sedan segment, especially when the contis are lowering their prices for their cars within this segment as well. Nissan however, will not be bringing in a replacement of the Teana, instead deciding to bring in their Leaf. To those who love Audi, the A6 is getting a refresh and from their website, looks more stylish than before, having some design elements from both the A7 and A8. If it's just the 1.5T with cvt, no point. If it's the 2.0T with the 10 speed auto, that would be sweet but likely to be too expensive compared to the european cars here. People would just rather buy an A4 2.0 (despite it being only a compact premium sedan). The only 2 sectors in singapore still resisting the crossover trend would be the lower priced premium level compact/subcompact (A3, A4 etc) and the B&B car sedans around 70-90k. Hi Lala, Hence I love my forester xt and plonked $ to rectify its shortcomings especially on aesthetics. However, its driveability is at a major cost on high FC and same for my colleague's glc250 but at almost 2x the $. As such, I also appreciates my mazda 2.0 NA with not 7.5km/l with spirited driving but 7.5l/100km ..lol ! Cheers. Richard
DK3410 4th Gear January 4, 2019 Share January 4, 2019 hi guys usually how long it takes for new car delivery after lta registration? If your SE has already successfully bidded for the COE for you, IIRC they need to deliver the car to you within 6 months. In general, waiting time from booking to receipt of your vehicle depends on multiple factors: 1) Whether the car you picked is brand new, clearance/ showroom model 2) Whether the car you picked is "popular" colour 3) Whether the car you picked it one more commonly purchased by people as opposed to a trim that few people would buy (this can go either way)

May also depend on how many other customers' cars arriving at around the same time for that particular SE.

Wow, from BMW M5 downgrade to Mazda 6,such a far Cry ...you may want to check the PCD & Offset,is the same or not,or else just buy new Rims.
GTO-1 5th Gear January 5, 2019 Share January 5, 2019 Hi Getting my Mazda6 standard model in mid-Jan. Wondering whether itâs a good idea to swap the new 17â wheel to my current BMW M5 18â wheel as I am trading in my 5-series. Can pretty much tell you it's not going to be a direct swap. Mazda and BMW have entirely different PCD and offsets. In fact, BMW are known to have crazy offsets and I even think front and rear offsets are different. You'd need some specialised spacers etc, but not worth it in my opinion. Do you have an E39 M5? The only M5 I know that came with stock 18" was the E39. Everything after and including the E60 was 19" and above for stock wheels. If that's the case, it's a pretty sought-after car worldwide.

Wondering whether it’s a good idea to swap the new 17” wheel to my current BMW M5 18” wheel as I am trading in my 5-series. Can't help but to ask "Why the downgrade?" If it's some personal reason, then forget I asked. Seriously, the drive and feel of a BMW is something that everyone else tries to copy.
