Does your scuff plates go on the outer metal or inner plastic part of the door ? Iâm looking for the latter but unable to find so far.

Don’t quite understand you. Let me share what I did.

 

The car comes with black plastic "scuff plate" they are double side taped. I removed them and the surface is flat.

I clean the surface with alcohol then stick the stainless steel scuff plates... Quite easy the tough part is remove the plastic ones.

 

The plastic ones are flexible so once you get one side up and able to stick your fingers under it just pull, surface won't be damaged and no residual easy to clean for sticking the new one.

 

If you zoom it the picture you will see it's directly on the body not on the default black plastic

I asked a local workshop they carry the scuff plate with black plastic backing with metal top, cost almost 90 with installation but I fine no plastic backing nicer so took the plunge and order from AliExpress... Like it much and its just a tab over 40 dollars less than 41 but with sweat.. Hahaha

I tried a Samsung and a Sandisk SD card with the stock Blaupunkt dashcam and the dashcam hung after 2 days. Switched back to the stock 16GB SD card and everything’s fine. The aftermarket cards work well in my Marbella dashcam. Not sure what to make of this

 

Also may I ask where you got the Cellink battery installed to the stock dashcam?

 

I figured out why the BP dashcam hung with the aftermarket SD cards. After I use the Windows formatting tool on my desktop, the aftermarket 64GB SD cards show only 200MB memory space.  So I downloaded this https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/index.html to reformat my cards again; they now show the correct memory space and work fine in the dashcam.

Hi Sze,

 

Works out fine .. pls see photos.

 

If wants swee swee and durable:

 

- avoid primer cos will be too sticky and hard to align .. but do try and let me know cos I din managed too well .. fingercrossed these tiong 3M will hold up

- get small and sharp scissor for trimming

- do not remove tape entirely .. start top after trimming top to clear door when closing and slowly align seal along edge of door and tapping lightly to allow adjustment if not aligned nicely

- have big long flat tipped for pressing tape down behind hinges cos not accessible

- press down entire length when ready

- trim bottom about <20mm from bottom edge of door .. dun get greedy cos it will jammed and loosen when too long as door closes

 

10 mins job and good luck !

Brox just sharing. My old Mazda 3 was knock by passer-by and bent outward since then when mirror retract it has kiak kiak kiak sound. Mechanic mentioned they don't fix the mirror, it's better that change the whole mirror. Was quoted by TEK close to 400 but after market is only 180. But because my car was too old at that time, so I chosen to deactivate the both side and my mirror will never fold back. But the mirror inside still can be adjusted. So, if you like to fix it, perhaps change a new mirror at outside workshop is better choice. In FB mazda group, ppl always recommend JDM Autocare, they do alot of mazda car. Get a quote and compare with TEK. Hope these help.

Nice accessories. I like the antiscratch at the door step.

Where you got the car mat from? Heel plate is at the correct position. Usual ones always too far from the pedals...

Seems Amon does not have similar Z-shape for A pillar.

Only can get from China I guess. The Amazon I guess it is from China also.

 

Maybe Amon 2650 seal whole door, so no need Z-shape seal.

I got from passorex, office at midview Bishan area. In the car is 19mm thickness , I got boot as well at thinner think it’s 13mm...total about 250, totally won’t slip out of position as the nonslip is the entire piece not just a small portion.
