@richard_crl032 What so difficult to off it when every time start the Car.?Anyway Mazda Start/Stop System is one of the best[exc current 48v System used in some German Cars],my Mazda used for 8.5 Years & clocked a total of 450 Hours Stop time, still doing fine when i sold the Car.

Sure but why not spend 42 bucks and forget about it ? I wish for my aircon to work all the time and no wish for the vibration each time it restarts .. however excellent.

Not into saving the world thingy .. else get a bike but I did retired 1 yr ago and no longer drive daily to work.

And yes, braised sharkfin is one of my fav dish and so is sirloin steak.

Cheers.

Finally getting my car.

Will add an active sub, external batt to drive the dashcam, change to 18', sound proofing, ceramic coat.

Any other essential stuff you have done after collection?

If you’re getting the car new, your rims may not be worth much but your tires are, provided you go and trade them in within the first week. They’re made in Japan Bridgestones and some may find them more desirable than Thai made ones, the tread pattern is also slightly different I think.

I’ll get 3M/3A type of floor mats, and also I’d check if the external battery has an impact on warranty.

I know you can buy a $40 gadget to cancel our start/stop but it meddles with the OBD and TEK may not like that.

Personally I don’t find it hard to modulate my right foot. Press it down hard, and the engine will cut out if some parameters are met, e.g. the steering wheel is straight, and capacitor is sufficiently charged. Press lightly enough to hold the car stationary if it’s a hot day and you don’t want the AC going off.

Its no different from modulating your accelerator while driving.

@richard_crl032  Hahaha I totally agree on and got myself 18" rims when I got the car. I was driving through some construction where they dig up the road and just did a haphazard patching of the road. I was thinking if I had 19", it would be super uncomfortable.

I too got myself the I-stop canceller as well. Not really a fan of the start/stop system.

Some mazda 3 are experiencing problems with the capacitors. It's quite costly to replace and was told no stock in singapore currently.

I hv no wish to mess around with acceleration when wanting to stop ... apply brakes when I wish to do so and accelerate ONLY when moving off.

That is common sense on safety 1st leh .. and we are driving and not flying an aeroplane.

Cheers.

Just sharing my thoughts on my suspension replacement (Brand: TEIN) after using it for almost a month. For fellow owners who are looking for an OE replacement.

2015 Mazda 6 (Mileage: 102k)

  • Stock suspense used for 6+ years, replaced it as it is begining to feel soft and if I hit a high bump, I can feel it hitting the top
  • Replaced with TEIN Endura Pro (OE replacement) - $1775
  • Price includes Installation and Alignment, Original Mounts, Bearings, Bushings, and Dust Cover (Front Set)
  • Added on extra $50 for tyre balancing and rotation

Thoughts

  • Stiff but not uncomfortable. I think its because it's new (I really respect folks that drive with coilovers)
  • Holds corners well
  • Reduced vibration on the steering wheel (I think cos my stock ones was worned out)
  • Stable at high speeds (shhh, cannot comment too much here)

If anyone wanna get an OE replacement, let me know. The person I deal with is really great. He sends me pictures of the installation and provides timely updates.

@R32 Don't bother explaining or reasoning with him. If you look back older posts, been there done that. He doesn't seem to understand how it works but prefers to spend extra money on it. To each his own as they say.

I also have no issues in modulating the braking to activate it when the car has already come to a stop. It is essentially activated WHEN I want it to, and this is a much better implementation compared to many other car makes.

Just some sharing on my M6 Executive after driving it for close to 16 months. Both side mirror replaced (cannot open or close up properly), suspension checked and replaced some parts on lower arms as there are some noise from the suspension going over a hump especially during wet days. Apparently, these are common issues for M6. Other than that, I am enjoying the ride pretty much. I especially like the HUD, very good feature to have. Disabled the lane departure system as I think it's very annoying at times. FC at 8.4l/100km as per the vehicle FC monitoring system. BOSE system is good to have too.

@Kopickosong I know, I’m not trying to change his mind since he has already spent the money, of course he needs to justify it all the way to the grave.

It is more for others who are considering spending the money, to let them know there is a simple way to avoid iStop kicking in.

Dealer offer $400 my set of 17 rim/tyres for trade-in. Still not sure if i should sell on carousell for the extra bucks?

Car mat and window magnetic screen given by SA.

As for the start/stop, it also depends on car. some has very mild vibration while others could be quite irritable. I was told this has to do with the way it's engine is being mounted (not a tech guy so i take with a pinch of salt)

@sinistral Is that some kind of sim-card holder?😁

Bread tab 🤭

Just to elaborate, the bread cost is $2, which comes with the tab. Use scissors to trim the tab to appropriate size then slot into the gap.

Some use folded piece of paper, but the concept applies keep the button depressed.

I think you can do better than $400 but you have to weigh out the convenience of not having to carry around your stock wheels after buying your new wheels. If you are lucky and list on Carousell and get a buyer, you could arrange him to pick up at the tire shop, else you’re going to need to store it for a bit while it finds a buyer.

Personally at $400 for a set of practically brand new rim and tire, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a buyer. Disregarding the stock rims it is $100 for each tire.

One T005A already costs more than that in 17 inch size.

$0, $2, or $40, up to the individual to decide!
