Which car you have owned the longest?

Now car prices and COE are so expensive, some ppl say we should hang on to our car as long as possible....

 

So far, have you owned a car more than 4 years?.... or what is the longest you have hung on to a car? is it worth doing it? will you do the same again?

 

the longest I have hunged on to my car is about 6 years which i bought second hand.... quite happy with it as the total depreciation was spread over many years. It's quite reliable although it's just a basic japanese model.

I am still holding on to an almost 7yr old car. But will be getting rid of it soon, cos it has been sitting collecting dust. My mum only drives it a few times a month.

Mine 4.5 years liao..maybe first & last car liao since car so expensive..

Bought a used 9years old civic ESI, drove it for 5 years.

 

Spend quite a fortune on repairs over these 5 years-> wheel bearing, fuel pump, alternator, aircon, etc etc

 

Verdict - not worth to drive old cars

A lorry crashed into my Suzuki 800 and misaligned the chassis before it could reach the tenth year. Had to sold it off as the wheels repeatedly got out of alignment after about 3 weeks

The longest I hold is my Lancer CS3. Bought new and sold away after 3 years and 4 months.

 

Looking at the Crazy COE prices, I suppose I will drive my current Accord longer than my CS3 liao.

I think to start off, civic ESI known for its expensive maintenance right? I think some other old cars might not be that expensive to take car
