no, its caused by hogging. confident tailgaters ( i do not approve of such act anyway ) will look ahead of traffic n usually they know their cars braking distance n capability.

 

many a times alot of people dun understand why hogging causes accident. simple reason being, the hogger will left too big a gap from the front vehicle. this will create a false impression to someone in lane 2 about the anticipated speed to be slower. then comes a kuku driver in lane 2 just switch lane to lane 1 with a much slower speed, tat hogger comes along n jam brake. even if the car behind dun tailgate, there is a good chance u see a chain collision.

highbeam him to ask him to siam. i have come across a TP WRX on lane 1, when i came behind him, he moved to lane 2 to let me pass

I encountered a red Mazda 3 which tailgated me along PIE towards Changi along extreme right lane traveling ard 90 to 100 km/hr keeping a braking dist of 3/4 car length from the front car till Tampines as I was existing to Simei. Driver of this red Mazda 3 , my apology if you felt that I was road hogging as you were practically sticking your front bumper close to mine all the way as you gotten a chance to overtake from the left and sped off , overtook me and again stick your bloody nose close to the car in front. You have to be rushing off to attend to something urgent??? How does it feel to have another car stick close to your butt??? Apparently some cars were seen angered to be tailgated and in turn followed this Mazda 3 in return. Well hope you enjoy being tailgated . It mainly take one car to brake suddenly , be it how skillful you are, another RTA contributed along PIE. Does it really matter so much to you that you have to die die overtake ??? You ain't going anywhere due to the usual mid congestion. It was nearly 930pm. Come to think of it, that car did resemble the careless driver starring in a traffic remedia shown on TV where the other driver turn to Red Hulk. Hahaha .... So that is your actual driving behavior???and they were saying never believe everything you see on TV???

I overtook TP & SPF from lane 2 when they are at lane 1.

One of my brain system short circuit the other day, I went zoom zoom zoom infront of a

SPF pigkarp.

Nothing matter to me lei.

tested a few times before... up till 110, if you drive normally.. they usually leave you alone

110Km/hr is acceptable levels for MOST TP expect for camera.

Don't understand why that so many others so kiase MUST maintain speed limit.

i think ecp camera maybe can.. got once accidentally pass by the cam at slightly less than 110..... lucky nothing happen

FYI, Speed Cams towards Changi had been removed donkey years ago.

However, not many aware and hog at first lane at 70~80km/hr when I need to bypass them in other lanes.

If towards Suntec, allowance is the normal 18km/hr.

Dear all... i hate hoggers... but reading throught TS 1st post a 2nd time... looks like maybe TS did want to move to the 2nd lane and let the Mazda3 overtake... but as soon as 2nd lane was clear the mazda3 over took from the left...

 

i think this is most likely the case...
