How about the specs level of 3Dr vs Clubman JCW?

Clubman JCW seem to be priced as the flagship of the range.

tried both 3drs and clubman jcw, I will pick the 3drs for the shiokness.

clubman jcw not much different from clubman s, unless in extreme handling.

Yeah, have a preFL F56 5 Door Cooper S (which I believe is still on 6 speed Auto).

the 2018 FL Cooper S range are all 7 speed DCT

Read that the 2018 FL Cooper JCW range are all BMW sourced 8 speed Auto.

How about the specs level of 3Dr vs Clubman JCW?

Clubman JCW seem to be priced as the flagship of the range.

3drs jcw came with union jack tail light and ring led drl with a re-design headlights

clubman jcw lighting still the same as current clubman (maybe due for facelift somewhere next yr)

3drs came with a 6.5" touch screen navi system

clubman came with a 8.8" touch screen navi system

3drs came with an upgraded interior with led union jack display

clubman jcw interior same as clubman s

both are using 8 sp gb, 3drs came with electronics gear stick and clubman remain it mechanical gear lever.

both share the same 2.0 turbo charge engine, up tune from the s. I think it turbo and injectors are different

from the s.

both are using bambo brake.

3drs wear 205/40/18 (if I remember correctly)

clubman wear 225/40/18 (if I remember correctly)

both exhaust not using the jcw pro due to lta compliance, but definitely sound louder and sweeter than the s.

if space is not your concern, than go for 3drs.

my wife need some space to secure 2 door cage in the boot to carry her 2 furries (French bulldog) around,

so clubman s will be her choice.

How's the clubman jcw 4 wheel drive vs the front wheel drive of the 3dr jcw?

Read that the setup makes the clubman more planted and "touring" feel compared to the 3Dr.

Seem like clubman jcw is not yet facelifted.

Actually considering  the JCW convertible .. Something different since my wife already driving a 5 door cooper.

Hard top is default choice.....already have a 5 door hardtop....seeing if I should get something more lifestyle choice within a lifestyle focused marque.

as we all know, mini is not about outright speed. read that the convertible do not lose out too much in performance compared to the hardtop and the All4 of the clubman improves the grip going round bends.

I drove R57 for a few hours. I have problem no able to see thru rear windscreen.

Based on drive up Cameron, no need AWD. Juz need a set of grippy performance tyres.

Not just 3DR.

5DR Mini ONE also comes with Union Jack lights.

IIRC, except for the clubman/countryman range, all the rest of the cooper 3dr/5dr comes with the revised union jack tail lights. I suspect the clubman/countryman will get a more thorough face-lift (butt-lift) end of the year or next year. :D

Throughout the Mini range the logo has been changed though:

Not just 3DR.

5DR Mini ONE also comes with Union Jack lights.

Today i send my Mini for checkup.  It has been leaking water for some times.

Told my wife to top up water every morning before driving off.

Haven't got back the car yet.

Valve cover gasket, oil sump gasket, water pump and coolant host need to be replaced.

It is slightly more than 5 years with 59k km mileage.

Anybody can share their purchase experience with Minis?

My family is considering to purchase our very first Mini, specifically the Clubman Saville Row.

Was also given an offer for a display unit that comes with Sunroof, Harman Kardon Sound System, Electric Seats & 19" rims.

These are the offers provided by the salesman.

MINI Cooper S Clubman Savile Row Lapisluxury Blue:
$156,088 - $3,000 = $153,088

MINI Cooper S Clubman Display Unit:
$173,888 - $3,000 - $5,000 = $165,888

The $5,000 additional discount is because it's a display unit.

The 2 units both come with conditions of minimum 50% - 5 years loan and 5 years/100,000km servicing package.

We're more inclined towards the Display Unit as it's really high spec.

I'm hoping to reduce to minimum loan to just $60,000/2 years, any idea if that's possible?

Also, is there any other things that I should look out for/ask for?

Hoping to gain some insight to getting a better overall package/deal.

Much thanks in advance.
