Sabbie Clutched December 22, 2011 Share December 22, 2011 Yes, if you are talking about long term resale very worth it, good to trade up to the 116710 also, which is the GMT2C. But do note the 16610LV is probably near it's peak, best is to always buy the new models (not facelift) after about a year from launch. When the watch is discontinued you sell it at a much better price (make some pocket money and wear it at the same time). Then repeat the cycle. Cause price does stagnate at the tail end of the models, and go for the timeless sports models. Poor people like me need to have some strategy in buying and selling watches, cannot afford to lose much.... Nothing wrong with that, I always believe in getting the most value outta anything, this is good advice, learn something new everyday....ok la...hopefully 3 months later got bonus....tsk tsk tsk.... ↡ Advertisement
Relagsingh 4th Gear December 22, 2011 Share December 22, 2011 yes Rolex has leather straps but i go aftermarket. i find it pointless to pay $500 when i can get the same for $50 i am not such a purist. lately Rolex has also been introducing more models with straps . I see. If next yr can get good lobang for sub, will change to leather strap. what's the street price for a new sub now?
Theoldjaffa Hypersonic December 22, 2011 Share December 22, 2011 The hulk at different angles the dial shows a different shade of green, when viewed from the side or low light it looks black, but when viewed directly face on it will be same shade of green as the bezel. Sorry I anyhow take the picture, so not very obvious, one big difference are the markers, the maxi dial makes the hour markers much larger. The case is also different.
Unltd 5th Gear December 22, 2011 Share December 22, 2011 (edited) The case is also different. you mean the 904 steel or the size? Actually another notable difference is the clasp, it has the incremental release like the DSSD. Edited December 22, 2011 by Unltd
Throttle2 Supersonic December 22, 2011 Share December 22, 2011 I see. If next yr can get good lobang for sub, will change to leather strap. what's the street price for a new sub now? honestly, I dont know the actual price mate. I dont keep up with new stuff becos i dont buy them. but I think about $8-9k but the new sub doesnt look as good with strap compared to the old sub. reason is becos of the pin hole and also the face without engravings on the rehaut. basically older models look better on strap. anyway, thats just my view, go with what you like

Very sian, so all my watches except for a very vintage Omega with plastic case and leather strap is in metal.

Yes, I used to prefer bracelet on my rolexes many years ago when i was much younger nowadays I prefer to have it more "personalised" with a strap of my own choice. straps "soften" the look and make it more elegant, somehow. is it becos you sweat a lot more than others so wearing strap gives you a rash.? it's just one of those things in life, cant fight it. enjoy your watches
