Looks like driver train system not as good as driverless train system. You see NEL, the train is fixed and move at a fixed interval and speed, the train dont stop suddenly along the track or move slowly due to train ahead etc.

Driver also cannot see in the tunnel just like pilot flying in the air nothing to see other than radar. even above ground, suddenly want to kiss driver also too slow to react.

 

ultimately, why so many planes and trains no issue whilst we have. that question need to address lah.

Erm.. Today Era, we have driverless car, this driverless car have sensors that can detect cars stopping, pedestrian crossing and also objects in front. Okay that maybe too advance for smrt train. We also have sensors for normal cars like collision warning system and etc. Why smrt train are not fitted with these technologies? Lta brought Many new trains right? If at the point of buying, should also ask manufacturer to install all these sensors as redundancy leh. Aka if everything failed, at least there is collision warning sensors as the last resort..
