How much is the nissan slyphy

Last week price is $110K for 1.6L. It has some plus point compared to the altis: keyless, fresh profile, cosmetically better lights.

But, would it be palatable to local buyers if a 1.6L sylphy is priced higher than a 1.6 altis.

Then you by both cars, decide which one you like after one week and sell me the one you don't like at 20% off... [laugh]

I am not sure at all! the test drive for sylphy is only from showroom up Bk Timah rd, nearest u-turn, down to nearest u-turn. I am now thinking thorugh: Think CVT is not so 'fun' for lane changing in our expressway compared to normal AT transmission. The SE said the pick-up will be there if one steps on the gas to above 3K rpm. But, that is no so good, right?

Yah, price up ..... some ppl have got it for 103, 105, 106.

ok, got to think whether i like CVT with numb response during start-off...

Never tried driving altis so I don't know but for my latio, I find the performance good after 80K servicing. I just went up to MY last weekend. Could easily manage 140kmh at 3+k rpm with load of 4 adults and 2 children.

The SE mentioned that the 2013 sylphy w CVT engine has better FC than the current 1.6 altis. I have never owned a CVT car, so I am here basically to learn more abt CVT cars.

But, I think gameover for me .... Most probably sticking to altis deal because nissan unable to give a gtee that I will get COE at my proposed price.

I had been driving a CVT (1.3 jazz) for the past 6 years. Sometimes when i drive a relative's Latio (4AT?), I am not used to the gears changing.

Saw a few Sylphy13 on the road recently. Not bad looking. :)

Also saw quite a few new sylphy on the road, the car looks better than the previous one.

I test drive it. Ya sylphy is slower than altis. Not only that, I feel altis is nicer to drive than sylphy.

the altis feels faster but sylphy feels slower due to CVT but feeling is an abstract thing..it's actually faster on the sylphy

(edited)

Test drove the 6 Speed Manual version a few months back in Australia(Sold as the Nissan Pulsar in Australia).

Feels better than the previous generation Slyphy with 4 speed Auto Transmission.

Sad that the manual version will not be available in Singapore.

Altis feels faster and sylphy feels slower? It is due to the weigh of the car body?

I think both comparable ba. Dunno why Altis still 4gear ratio?

They find the 4 gear ratio is reliable and trustworthy, and people are not complaining so i guess they would continue using.

I ever got a Altis as a replacement car while my latio was in the workshop. Altis definitely felt faster with the same speed. I verified by the speedo from my garmin GPS. I normally drive around 50-60km/hr, and Altis felt faster. I think it may be due to sound and vibration insulation of the latio. Less perceive movement.
