Seeing lots of floaters on my right eye suddenly

Been having floaters for less then a year, then suddenly on Sunday, there's one particular floater that is stuck in the same spot. Right now it's still at the same spot.  

Went to polyclinic on Monday and was immediately referrer to ED of SKGH, worry of possible retina detachment. Went thru a very uncomfortable eye check, dilate my eyes and shine bright light into them.

The doc didn't see any signs of detachment, but I was wondering maybe I didn't opened my eyes big enough for a effective eye check. Coz the thing is still there. Very worrying and frustrating. Will be having a follow up next week, wonder what can I do if the eye doctor says nothing wrong.

Eye doctor never find any major problem in your eye and yet also cannot determine why there is a floater stuck in the same spot? You went to Sengkang hospital? Maybe you can go to the national eye centre? Maybe they are more specialist on eye problem.

SKH EYE department is from SNEC i think. They just get rostered there.

One floater is usually not a concern. Don't worry.

SNEC at SGH got more doctors there although SKGH eye centre is a branch of SNEC.

internet say it is some fiber in the eye liquid. it should settle down out of the line of sight. but mine been there for as long as i can remember.

you will get use to it after few weeks

went through the same last year, went back for follow up check up after 6 months a month ago. Everything is ok,  next visit is 2 or 3 years, open date.

i got eyes issue also. went to this 'Total eyecare' https://www.retina.com.sg/ 

 my right retina got a thin spot, kena warning, if see lighting in my eyes must go hospital at once.

1 of the cheapest private eyes Specialist for eyecare.

you read a lot?  Also IO pressure can be intense if you see the screen a lot too.

 

but if doc say no RD, then ok lo.

But if the floater just got stuck at one spot without floating away, most people might get worry?

You also have one floater got stuck at the same spot? I guess must see where is the location of the floater got stuck. If stuck in the middle of your eye sight, then it would become quite irritating, even though it might not cause any health concern.

generally number of floaters is the main concern. Usually anything <5 is not serious. Provided some eye dr has checked u.

actually more than 1.. if want to count have to focus on a white area. i see at least 5 or 6 (right eye). but those further away from the line of sight hard to focus on.

if the eye specialist dilated your eyes and check, asking you to look up, down, left, right and say no retina detachment, then should be safe because 2 different eye specialist did the same for me when I saw floaters. As to why a floater got stuck, I have not encountered that before.

As I am typing now, there is a floater swimming in my right eye across the white screen.

I have them for a longest time on both eyes. I was told it is due to 'scratches' but honestly they don't affect my eyesight. Once you get use to it, you don't even notice them till you focus. Like tadpoles swimming up and down and sideway. Haha

one outcome, they ask u do laser, sit there, they look in your eye, shoot laser to seal off the leaks... whats there is there already, this to prevent worsening.
