  1. After watching this advert video, i do remember alot of stuffs/happenings during my younger days, and of course my family did have a KDK fan back then... Haha... i think will get 1 after my current cheapo fan up lorry, for nostalgic as well as reliability sake.
  2. Hello bros and sis, Anyone having this problem before? Floaters? In short they are like irregular lines, spots that seems floating in your vision especially obvious when you move your eyeball and against a bright background? For unknown reasons so far, last saturday afternoon the floaters(quite a fair bit) just appear. Hoping it will go away soon and hear from anyone that have this experience.
  3. Now this is an interesting sight. As we have mentioned before in previous blog posts, the COVD-19 pandemic has somewhat influenced many who are forced to stay home to start working out as an excuse to head out. Hence, when we went into Phrase 2, there was a noticeable increase in traffic at our parks as many still continued to enjoy exercising, leading to some to come up with new ideas to move away from the overcrowding in parks. Check out this clip which has been shared by SG Road Vigilante, whereby the camera car chanced upon this public outdoor carpark at Fort Canning on the 9th of September which has been 'converted' into an outdoor gym. With the carpark almost full, we bet the sight of those using the carpark as a workout area annoyed the camera car driver. What do you guys reckon? Cool or not cool? Let us know!
  4. Yesterday went to Dunlop St to have steamboat for dinner at One Pot. Wanted to park along the street but it's very hard to find a lot during dinner hours. And it's pretty hard to drive through the road as it looks quite narrow. Also many people there and nearly knocked down a guy. I also wonder how to park the parallel lots as I think the roads are too narrow to maneuver into the parallel lot. In the end, went to park at the open carpark at Weld St. A few years back, also in the same area, Little India, I parked on one of the streets and my friend opened the door and banged on the high kerb. Luckily no scratches and it's my old car. I noticed some parallel lots in these areas tends to be harder to park. Do you guys encounter the same problems?
  5. Hi bros, need some advice on my car jerking issue,my car is a 9 year old toyota corolla fielder with 34k mileage Previously it has jerking issue during acceleration(only jerks between 2000-2500rpm),after I went to a workshop and changed the fuel pump/fuel filter/fuel regulator/gas pedal sensor, the issue was solved However, these 2 days,I started ferrying my friends, one of them is 160kg and the other is around 85kg.When I accelerate on slopes or to overtake, the car will jerk(between 2000-2500rpm again)and lose power until I release the gas pedal, and accelerate again When my 160kg friend got off the car,the car has no issues and got the power again,I would like to ask if heavy weight could cause the jerking issue? thanks bros
  6. I have called both translink and HDB, none of them can give me an answer. (taichi to one another) As my job requires me to run around, i parked frequently at Park & Ride carparks. Just need to tear $3 worth of coupons. But many of the time i see the red lots empty during morning/noon time. can i park there or have to drive up all the way to find a white lot?
  7. An automated multi-storey car park at the Club Street. The struggle for parking amid a growing carpark crunch in Singapore's congested CBD means that a sizeable portion of the estimated 200,000 professionals based there choose not to drive to work. Although he owns a car, Mr Seah Chee Koon, 35, prefers to take the train from his Jurong East home to his office in the Central Business District (CBD). "I don't see the need to drive to work. It is too expensive," said Mr Seah, who works in the banking industry. He spends about 45 minutes commuting each way. The struggle for parking amid a growing carpark crunch in Singapore's congested CBD means that a sizeable portion of the estimated 200,000 professionals based there choose not to drive to work. The parking situation is likely to get worse. Going by a transport masterplan released last week, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) expects the CBD parking supply to "gradually decrease over time as older buildings make way for newer buildings". 8. Don't go around parking in FPL when there are no kids/prams with you. Just moments ago, some guy thought no one watching and try to sneak into FPL. After he parked, I drove by his side and question him. "Did you notice it's a FPL, do you have kids with you (he's alone)." Luckily he admits his mistake and move out of the way. I parked in.
  9. Nowadays seems like car owners like to park at motorcycle lots.... This is one example....and got fined for it:)
  10. Woman says Lambo drivers like her need 2 parking lots to protect their 'exotic million dollar cars' Posted on 28 October 2013 Miss L, a Lamborghini driver, has come forward to explain why drivers of exotic cars tend to take more than their fair share of parking lots in public carparks. According to her, drivers of exotic cars tend to have their cars damaged by other motorists, so this is their way of avoiding scratches and bumps. She wrote: "On behalf of my brothers and sisters out there who also drive Lamborghinis, I would like to apologise for what others may consider inconsiderate, occupying two parking lots. "The other lambo drivers may feel that it is a waste of time explaining ourselves here, or don't care what others think, or that we are the minority driving an exotic million dollar car, or even that we know what's best for our cars and others do not need to know. "These are the reactions I've got from my friends when I told them about explaining to the public on STOMP. "Yes, we know it is a very selfish act, but in public carparks everyone knows you get all sort of drivers. "Some but not all are irresponsible drivers who park beside our cars, and when opening their doors and getting down from their vehicles, they carelessly knock onto our cars, leaving dents, scratches and unsightly marks. "By parking in two lots we prevent any vehicles parking beside our cars. "I strongly believe that no matter what car or vehicle you are driving, you should be gracious when opening your vehicle's door, ensuring that you do not knock into someone else's vehicle, no matter what car or vehicle he drives. "I used to park in only one lot, but there was this incident that made me into a selfish driver too. "Basically my windows are pretty tinted, and after parking my car, I was putting on some of my makeup, with the engine off. "This other vehicle who just parked beside me, he probably did not know I was still in the car, and when he open the door, he basically slammed his door onto my car, leaving a dent and unsightly scratches on my car. "FYI, the parking gap between our cars is approximately 60 to 70cm. "When I got down from my car to confront him, he was very shocked, as I think he did not know there was someone in the car. And he was very defensive with his words, was hot-tempered, and he was pretty arrogant, saying that it was just small damage, and that I should just charge the bill to him. "I don't understand what got into him, but he went on to kick my car, and landed one of his fists onto the bonnet of my car. "Whether you believe me or not, I was calm, and kept telling him to calm down. "I did not retaliate to any of his harsh language. I'm a lady driver, so probably he was aggressive towards me? If I was a man, I'm not sure if he would do the same? I was in shock, as It was pretty frightening, when a uncle keep shouting at me ,"driving Lambo so what?" "You think you very rich ah?" "Who you think you are?!", and a whole lot of vulgarities. "Thank God a security officer was nearby and came over to help me. "To cut the story short, now in addition to the car damage, he also threatened me. So on top of the car damage, he has a lawyer letter as well. His family, called me to drop the suit, as they were salaried workers and did not have the money to get into these sorts of law suit. "The uncle also apologized to me personally, saying that he had lost a lot of money on gambling, and was in a very bad mood that day. "I've dropped the law suit, and as for the car damage, I did not take a single cent from them. "They were not in the best of shape to pay for the damage. "This is only MY part of my story, there are lots of stories out there from other Lambo drivers on why we became very selfish drivers. "I will not disagree that our cars, are our babies/wives, very expensive ones, that we have to take very good care of. "We also hope that the public will be gracious to our babies as well. "This also explains why as much as possible we love to park outside hotel lobbies. Although we are not staying in them, we don't mind paying extra to park there. "It is not what most people who think that we are trying to show off parking outside hotel lobbies. "Two main reasons, 1) someone will be there to keep a lookout on our car 2) we can have a personal/private parking space, and WILL NOT NEED to take up two parking lots in the public car parks. "3) Some carparks are too narrow or have humps/slopes that are designed too high, and we cannot enter without damaging the bottom of our cars. "So to conclude, to save all these trouble, money and time for both parties (myself and the uncle), we rather be labelled as selfish freaks, yaya papaya selfish freaks... "Hope you guys in future, will think twice before criticizing us. "But of course we can't stop what others say, but before you Stomp our cars, kindly take a nicer photo of our babies. "Have a great week! "Yours Sincerely, Miss L" Miss L's comments are in reference to STOMPer KC's article about a Lamborghini driver who had taken up two parking lots. KC feels it was very inconsiderate of the driver to do so. Said the STOMPer: "It was very inconsiderate of this driver to occupy two parking lots. "Trying to attract attention?"
  11. And prices are damn attractive, hopefully no sales for them
  12. SINGAPORE: National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan said he has asked the Housing and Development Board (HDB) to study the use of high-rise mechanised parking systems for older HDB estates. In his latest blog entry, Mr Khaw said former MP Ang Mong Seng has strongly recommended such systems after returning from a trip to China where he went to study the mechanised systems. Mr Khaw said the HDB has been tasked to evaluate the different technologies available, work through implementation issues such as waiting time for car retrieval, breakdowns and public acceptance. Mr Khaw said the problem of car park shortages was mostly felt in older HDB flats which were built under old car park provision norms. For example, for estates with four-room flats, 560 car park lots were planned per 1,000 flats. Mr Khaw said the equivalent norm now was 710 car park lots per 1,000 flats. He said with the new norms, new HDB flats will come with adequate car parks. But the problem was with older HDB estates. Of the 1,800 HDB car parks island-wide, about 220 faced what he termed "localised shortages". Mr Khaw said HDB is building more car parks wherever it can find land to do so. It has added 3,400 lots in the last two years and will add another 1,600 lots next year at a cost of S$66 million. Mr Khaw said Singapore has 900,000 HDB flats and 557,000 car park lots. -CNA/ac http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1173017/1/.html Since he knows the problem, can he ask the parking attendant to stop summon? even though i can get it waived off everytime, but still i need to send an email each time...

  15. Can anyone advise what's the procedure or how to deal with odd lot shares now (with electronic scripts)? Is it a hassle to trade as when it was in the paper scripts era? Say, I have 7,777 shares and I want to get rid of them all using online trading portal. TIA.

  18. where have got the tightest lots you have encountered ? for me, when i was not driving, i sit in my friend's car, i think it was the old Pavillion(now rebuilt as Tampines One) underground carpark at Tampines intechange. but now when i am driving, i see the mcsp at tampines st.32 "tampines mart" as one of those with tight corners ... especially when you drive down from the third level to the second level, you can see alot of autographs on the wall at the ramp !! however, i find that most HDB mscp are pretty generous in their lots allocation ... except for the one at Bedok Reservoir Sheng Shiong Station1 ... the designer ought to be shot !!

  20. Some shopping centres allow lorries, delivery vans to park and do delivery for FREE. What about small business owers who ferry goods to shops via a normal passenger car? There was a time my fren tried to drive in but the security guard said cannot despite showing him the delivery order. i find them too rigid...must a delivery vehicle be a VAN or LORRY?
  21. Hmmmmmm................ another use for Supermarket Parking Lots ....... Yahoo News report : Couples have sex in Malaysia's supermarket car park Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN) - A supermarket parking lot in Kota Baru, Malaysia, has turned into a meeting point for couples to have sex during their lunch break, reported Malaysian newspaper Harian Metro. The couples need only pay 2 ringgit (66 US cents) per entry and they usually arrive in separate vehicles to avoid being spotted by acquaintances before engaging in sexual acts inside their cars in dimly-lit areas of the parking lot. Supermarket workers could view what was going on through CCTVs installed at strategic spots in the parking lot. "I have seen couples having sex in their cars," a source said.
  22. Finally, MBT admit that 225 HDB car parks face shortage of lots. http://motoring.asiaone.com/Motoring/News/...428-212852.html "These oversubscribed carparks affect about 2 per cent of season parking ticket (SPT) buyers, Mr Mah clarified." Anyone knows how many HDB car parks in Singapore? If 2000+ HDB car parks, then it is 10%.
  23. Must give it to the Bentley driver for having the "courage" to park it this way. Imagine you are in a hurry to find a lot in a packed car park & you come across this Bentley parked this way... http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ies_2_lots.html He owns a one-million-dollar car and he parks right in the middle of two lots in a busy shopping mall's carpark. STOMPer HungryWomanAngryWoman is enraged at the behaviour of this Bentley driver. Said the STOMPer (Oct 27): "This Bentley owner thinks just because he owns a 1-million-dollar car, it gives him the right to park in the middle of two parking lots at VivoCity? "People these days are so inconsiderate..!!"
