  1. After watching this advert video, i do remember alot of stuffs/happenings during my younger days, and of course my family did have a KDK fan back then... Haha... i think will get 1 after my current cheapo fan up lorry, for nostalgic as well as reliability sake.
  2. changed to a new PC recently and restored my browser bookmarks was going through the bookmarks for organise and deletion realise many car forums already shut down for good most car forums have migrated to Facebook as car interest groups or they simply die off as the car models went end of line is MCF the only local car forum left today? feel kind of nostalgic, back then when car forums were popular, with lots of gatherings organized and new car gadgets for chng and modify one of the some car meetups i went to (in 2005... gosh 15 years ago.......😞
  3. Nostalgic Singapore Car... Photos... On a local board where some of us gather to talk about old or interesting cars, someone managed to get hold of a scanner and put up these photos from the 90s (Guessing from the time/date-stamps). With cars here having a rather limited lifespan (usually 5-10yrs), it is interesting to see how things have changed in a little over 20 years. Some nice details of an Alfa GTV above, followed by more "modern" 33s below. A Rover sitting next to an E28. And how the local BMW dealership's workshop (Performance Motors) used to look. On initial launch, only 3 of these Mercedes SL's were allocated for the local market. I guess eventually, more made it over. I'm guessing this was the local shop for Mercedes Benzo. Hopefully i can dig up more local old car photos i used to have, will post them up once i find em.

  6. This video really brings me back fondly to the Singapore of the 1980s where it is not overcrowded with foreigners, old style kopitiam, bus driver putting the bus into 1st gear,.................................. BTW, video is not shot be me.
  7. I have attended the Nostalgic Car Owners Meetup on and off in the past 2 years and the group is growing. Basically we meet once every two months or so. Full strength is about 30 cars mainly Jap cars more than about 12 years old, lately conti models such as 1st gen Golf cabrio, classic mini etc joined us also. It's a layback group and the meetups involved chats and ocassional roundings......... it's a low key group but we have 'Concourse' level restored Jap iconic model all the way back to the early 70s!! The guys are easy going and keen to talk about nostalgic rides. S13, Mazda Infini, Beemers, etc turn up when they have the time. My friend is the 'boss' who basically just plays the role of sending sms notice for meetup. If you own / drive a nostagic car, or are interested in these cars, please let me know and I will txt you when 'boss' sends his invitation for the next meetup. PS: do let your friends who drive / own nostagic cars know about this.
