  3. Hi all, I believe some of our bros here frequent JB quite often, be it for work or pleasure. I will be planning to head up north for a short shopping trip in JB with my family when time permits. Would appreciate if all could share some of your excellent 'lobangs' in JB! (best if can indicate on JB streetdirectory http://www.streetdirectory.com/malaysia/johor/ or GPS coordinates.) Thanks!
  4. Hope you MCFers are having a great start for the New Year. So, I will be straightforward and jump right in to my point: I am waiting to get my new car (Mazda CX-3) and as with many car lovers, I am thinking of taking the family to a nice location for the first photoshoot with the car (paiseh ah, I took first-day and last-day photos for all the cars I ever owned). For this baby crossover, I am thinking of somewhere rustic looking, so I want to share this list with you, 14 nice ulu places for photo and kopi: http://thesmartlocal.com/read/road-trip-singapore It's not a full-fledge SUV so I am going to rustic locations and not hardcore off roads. Hahaha! Any other recommendations will be MUCH APPRECIATED. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Benji
  5. I understand open carpark cannot do car washing and will get fined for $100 if caught. Only place i know that can wash is multi-storey carpark washing bay given its drainage is seperated. For people staying at places without multi-storey carparks like Potong Pasir.......they gotta travel far to find MSCP washing bay or where else can they wash?
  6. Anyone here know where else we can find a good range of car care products? Here's a list of what i know but wondering if there are actually more places to check out 1. Petrol Stations 2. Giant 3. Mustaffa Centre 4. Autobacs TIA
  7. Yesterday went to Dunlop St to have steamboat for dinner at One Pot. Wanted to park along the street but it's very hard to find a lot during dinner hours. And it's pretty hard to drive through the road as it looks quite narrow. Also many people there and nearly knocked down a guy. I also wonder how to park the parallel lots as I think the roads are too narrow to maneuver into the parallel lot. In the end, went to park at the open carpark at Weld St. A few years back, also in the same area, Little India, I parked on one of the streets and my friend opened the door and banged on the high kerb. Luckily no scratches and it's my old car. I noticed some parallel lots in these areas tends to be harder to park. Do you guys encounter the same problems?

  17. Hur..... , worst place to work in aklso got rating now. Singapore rated at No. 3 aka average niah niah ... Yahoo news: Malaysia scores a ‘5’… as one of the worst places to work in Malaysia joins the list of countries deemed the worst places in the world to work in as it does not guarantee workers' rights, according to a survey by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). In its first-ever Global Rights Index report, compiled from 97 indicators, Malaysia scored 5, joining Cambodia, Bangladesh, China and Nigeria and 19 other countries. A “1” is given to the best countries and “5” for the worst. “Countries with the rating of 5 are the worst countries in the world to work in. While the legislation may spell out certain rights, workers have effectively no access to these rights and are, therefore, exposed to autocratic regimes and unfair labour practices,” said the report released in Berlin. A recent example of alleged violation of workers' rights involved national carrier Malaysia Airlines. MAS took disciplinary action against Mohd Akram Osman, secretary-general of the National Union of Flight Attendants Malaysia (Nufam), and 30 other Nufam members for an “illegal gathering”. The move was criticised by many, including civil society, and other trade unions. They called on MAS to recognise and respect workers’ rights, including the freedom of association and the right to join a union. Meanwhile, 18 countries, including Denmark, Norway and Uruguay, scored a 1. The survey covers violations in 139 countries recorded between April 2013 and March 2014. Neighbouring Singapore scored a 3, meaning that its government and companies regularly interfered in collective labour rights and failed to guarantee important aspects of these rights. more of teh stories, link: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/malaysia-scores-5-one-worst-places-041358079.html Nice to know that MAS said that National Union of Flight Attendants Malaysia (Nufam) meeting considered 'Illegal gathering' ....
