Othello Supersonic December 10, 2014 Share December 10, 2014 (edited) $215 for 2 channel dvr sounds good! How's the video quality? And how much it cost for the installation bro? Haven't install yet so can't say good or not The shop quoted $60 to install on my wagon. I'm passing to my audio shop to install next week, do together with my audio. The only gripe I have? The front camera is not small. The shop Alquest is one of the vendors in marketplace, you can go have a look. Thedecemberone 3rd Gear January 5, 2015 Share January 5, 2015 You don't need an expensive car video camera to do the job. I got mine for just below $60 with 5Mp and the video clarity is above average.

Got mine for 2 years already. Already value for money if it decides to retire, but it's still working. My colleague paid around $500 for a tube type without display screen and is regretting every moment of it whenever he ride in my car. Every time he sees my video camera it reminds him of his camera. And he don't even know if his camera is recording or not because there's no display screen.
Divers 2nd Gear January 6, 2015 Share January 6, 2015 (edited) Myself, I think having a car-cam recorder is probably a need nowadays given the fact that in the event of accident and if there is no evidence to prove. Chances are insurance companies will offer 50-50 settlement. If you want the very clear cam. Confirm high pricing. For me, I would take a mid-range cam. Important is to record accident and and no need to dispute who is at fault . Picture no need to be super clear to really determine who is at fault but can see who is at fault ok already. I think those super clear cam will be more suitable for parking mode. To record hit and run and record number plate especially at night. And to record face images who vandalise cars. Anyway, came across a 4-channel car cam Interesting. Edited January 6, 2015 by Divers

Thedecemberone 3rd Gear January 7, 2015 Share January 7, 2015 (edited) can share what's your brand ? It's actually a non-branded camera. See attached file. I think I saw this camera at Giant IMM selling for $99. Very expensive. I got it from internet for below $50, I think. Can't remember the exact price. But quality is good for daytime. Nighttime is average if road is well lit. Anyway, I seldom drive at night so I guess I am happy with the product. Yup. almost >90%... more complete coverage just in case of side swipes or car scratchers..... cheaper too... just need a bit more leg work only...
