Enye Hypersonic March 6, 2015 Share March 6, 2015 For those who use camera for 24 parking surveillance, do yourself a favour by connecting it to a separate battery. Most people allow the supplier to tap onto existing car battery and make promises it will cut-off blah..blah..blah. In many cases, the main battery for starting engine is drained enough, that it can't start the engine. Then you are either stuck, looking for a jump start or quarrel with your battery supplier about battery fault. It is not battery fault, but the bloody camera draining it flat. Some camera sucks power like nothing. It's like leaving a 5W bulb turn on throughout the night. Don't expect your car to start in the morning. Just need to set the cut off voltage higher. My cam installer set it at 11.8v but I made him reset it to 12.2v When I asked him why he set so low, he said 11v still can start don't worry 😨 ↡ Advertisement

Foxoffer has them... i left mine in car in the sun and this still functioning after > 1 year.. budget 1080P cam with WDR.. Wires just let installer run them.. 2x $30 for front n back cams... Use Loop recording for 24hr recording.. but i think last only 2-3 hrs before first video written over.., more bec of SD card capacity only... Can use motion sensor but not very sensitive.. if 24 hr continual recording then no need motion sensor wat... Kb27 Supersonic March 6, 2015 Share March 6, 2015 How you charge the separate batt ? You can use the same alternator to charge. Use a relay that connects the 2nd battery to the alternator, when ignition is switched on. That way, when you switch off the engine, only the 2nd battery is connected to the camera and not to the main battery. When engine is off, camera drains 2nd battery flat, doesn't matter; bcuz the main battery is not connected, you can still start the engine. Another way is to install a battery isolator. This is similar to some Merz using auxiliary battery.
Feliss Neutral Newbie March 19, 2015 Share March 19, 2015 I'm using Marbella MX6. So far so gd. But only front facing camera. Resolution is good. You can give it a try, just a lil expensive. Can get it from IT fair.

lancer6238 1st Gear March 28, 2015 Share March 28, 2015 Anyone using the Itronics ITB-100 Wifi camera? I'm using the older non-Wifi version for about a year and am pretty satisfied with it. But I've read some reviews on the Wifi version having issues. I'm not sure if the sole distributor is still selling the non-Wifi version. If there's too many problems with the Wifi version, I may consider iRoad v7. The downside is I think the iRoad rear camera isn't as clear?

I have both the wifi and non wifi versions of itb100 on my car for approx 4 months and more than 1 year respectively. Both do not give me major technical problems. However, the video quality of the non wifi is obviously better. So if you do not really need wifi and larger 64gb storage capability, just get non wifi. cven Clutched April 2, 2015 Share April 2, 2015 I am using iroad GT. Connect directly to car battery. Able to record for 3-4 days before the automatic voltage cuts off power. No issue starting car. You can also set what voltage to cut off.

No complaints otherwise. I haven't even gotten down to running a dedicated wire for it. Still using 12v socket lol... Still using 12v socket lol... Yup.. the suction cup always does that in direct sun and high heat.. Glad you are OK with this budget cam.. can't ask for much bells and whistles at US$60.. If you're along Geylang, can drop by Lor 39 to fix the cable.. wont take too long and much neater than loose wire hanging around...
