Just purchased and installed iRoad T8 over the weekend. Working great so far, and I like the wifi function for use via a smartphone. Now hunting for a KPE security alarm system. If any lobang, please send me a pm. Was deciding between Easycar E8-B or Spy security alarm.

hi guru here ... the power cable into the camera ... see below picture

the black tip is missing (fly out)

i pull out the power cable to turn off the camera

when i pull out the cable the black tip actually is a tiny piece of thing fly out ... and missing :(

i plug in the cable without the black tip and the camera is still working

what is the black tip thingy? is it just to tighten the socket.

now that i plug in the cable without the black tip ... will it cause any electric leakage?

MCF engineer ... i need your help.

in fact ... the black tip is common to any power connector especially to notebook ...

I think its to prevent short circuit, the plastic holder prevent the needle tip from touching the sides which will otherwise create a short. But I think that will only happen if the needle in the camera bends if you insert it incorrectly. Are you using Blackvue? I had the same issue on my Blackvue camera, damn POS

nope ... i'm using Itronics ITB-100HD

can continue to use without the black tip thingy?

anyway, either have to buy a new cable to reinstall or might as well change the whole camera ... [smash]

Long term its better to find a replacement, after all the camera should be always reliable. But I think you should be able to find a substitute for the plastic tip. Sim Lim should have some shops with this kinda thing, problem is you have to bring the adapter for them to take a look [cool]

Hey Guys! There's a guy who does installation for car cameras island wide! He has a wide range of cameras ranging from $55-$600! Very knowledgeable chap. I just installed the iroad V7 2ch camera on my Forester. He did a very good job compared to my previous installer. You should call him for a quotation. 86821003 Sky.
