t0y0ta Supercharged May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 Please be beware of 2nd hand car dealers! Cannot trust them. Recently, I bought a peugeot RCZ from; Hamilton Autohub Pte. Ltd. 15 Commonwealth Ln, Singapore 149554 Phone: 6469 0870 Lot 8. The salesperson say the car guarantee no problem because previous owner seldom drive the car. Salesperson told us that, if we bring this matter up to CASE, sure lose. This is like threatening the buyers, so that buyers will not bring this matter up to CASE. Don't know how many buyers would have fell into this trap because of what the salesperson say to them. They might have paid the repairs on their own cost. Bought the car less than 1 month, all the problem surface up. Bad black oil leakage, cold start of the engine, ABS sensor spoil. Send the car to their workshop at Ubi, Mirage Motorwerkz. Technician said car got alot of problem and need to fix it. Dealer do not want to pay for the repairs and keep saying that they don't know how much the repairs are. Keep asking us to speak to workshop. Very irresponsible. Hi there, was it with Hamilton Autohub Pte Ltd at Commonwealth? My friend throw away his RCZ because from brand new already tons of problems that authorised dealer also struggle to solve. And you buy it 2nd hand ....... Better had budget 10-20k to sayang your ride. ↡ Advertisement
Newbie26 Hypersonic May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 Just to add that if want a peace of mind, Buy from reputable used car agents such as Republic and other AD owned used car dealership They charge more but provide additional warranty. Downside with direct owners is lemon laws do not apply and a hassle to make claims if there are problems 2nd hand cars from dealers are crazy expensive now at minimum 10k depre/year which is way more expensive than a brand new car. if you can afford the 30% dp, go for a brand new car instead. if you cannot even afford the 30% dp and needs to take a 90% loan from dealers or in house loans, don't even buy a car else every month end up eating bread. if you die die want to get a car left with 2-3 years then aim for direct owners instead of dealers. forget about what warranty/free servicing/checks/car wash that dealers offer you or entice you with, they are probably rubbish and you can forget about claiming against them.

Poseidon 3rd Gear May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 This topic has no end. In spite of warnings from other forumers, you will still read about goons and cheapos who fall into the trap of getting a "good and cheap" deal from these crooks. When will they ever learn, there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world.
Ct3833 Supersonic May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 No 2 ways about it la..many buyers too greedy when car price is cheap!! So they get trapped because of their own greed!!! Cheap & good never come together!! Honesty is very expensive and don't expect it from cheap Charlie!! So, pay a bit more for a piece of mind. Buy from big dealers for a big ticket item!! Remember, there is no free lunch in this world!!!, haha I would agree with you if one is buying a new car. But in the used car market, sorry I have not heard of a big dealer who is trust worthy to buy from. At least i have not seen any common recommendation in MCF.For example, buy Merce, go C&C,buy Toyota go BM, buy Honda go KM, buy used car go ehhhhh..... There are so many cars on sgcm, everyday hundreds of cars are being sold. Just that many cars out there are ok. And PLEASE, it is a FREAKING second hand car. If one expect a virgin, go buy a brand new car. The situation is like reno companies. Everytime sure got hear about complains, its just the way it is. Senny 1st Gear May 27, 2017 Share May 27, 2017 (edited) Be very very very wary of buying from any dealer in Turf City. i do agree with this sentence, always get your own mechanics to check first before signing, but also buyer needs to be sincere enough offer petrol or a small amount after your mechanics checks good to go, then deal immediately if the dealer is really honest and follow through to the workshop and check together the issue, i think all these lemon cases will be lowered previously i got an consignment car and drove to my workshop and hoist up the car to check together with dealer, buyer (me) and mechanics explaining which parts are failing and required immediate attention, from there we re-nego price again I believe any dealer dont want their name to be splash here as blacklisted coy (though a simple search for the dealer name will reveal here) Even if the deal doesnt go through, kindly offer a small petrol token and move on, peace out ! =D Edited May 27, 2017 by Senny
Leo78s Clutched May 27, 2017 Share May 27, 2017 Andy Chin? Is it the same guy from exodus global. Leaving lots of ppl without cars? Went to view a Nissan at turf city ST AUTOMOBILE, located at A12&A27. Price very high as they mentioned their cars are "showroom" condition, BOOM BOOM! Left after and found out from my friend their STA report may show no much remarks, but upon buying their car brought to workshop, oil seepage etc, mounting etc, and upon contacting the company, they told me the boss only agree to Half-Half. If not can proceed to small claim as their STA report is flawless so unlikely that i will win??? I wonder how can a company have such integrity and confidence that regardless what issue you have with your car purchased not more than a week, they are so sure you will lose even if it results in a case. Also, heard their "good conditioned" Nissans are from TCM, as they've connection don't know whose spouse is working at tan chong. How is that even related i wonder.. Last but not least, noticed they've a manager there by the name of Mr Andy Chin. Rings a bell somewhere, and it got me wondering is this company really trustworthy.

Top_Gear Neutral Newbie May 31, 2017 Share May 31, 2017 Hi Guys, i'm new here and would appreciate some advices from you. Basically i'm a victim of AUTO PREMIUM PTE LTD at AML. I bought a new car with a full 30% downpayment from them back in alril and now the shop had already closed down after the debt recovery company video went viral. I am now in a total lost as i understand that pte ltd companies can just close down with no liabilities. However, the owner is still contactable (as of now) and still promise to deliver my car but all his promises made last time is all empty promises which i feel he was just buying time with his words. Also, making a police report, small claim or file to CASE will it helps or is useless? Any kind souls can advice or any procedure for me to follow inorder to get my car? TIA
Poseidon 3rd Gear June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 Hi, sorry to hear of your plight. That company is a private limited, which means their liability is limited to whatever capital and assets that is being invested or under the company's name. In other words, you can sue the company but not the owner as they are 2 separate entities. If you successfully sue the owner for cheating, fraud or CBT, he can just declare himself bankrupt and there is nothing much you can do about it. This is just sharing my personal views, please do not use this for any legal purposes. Anyway, this is why I always stay clear of PIs and used car dealers.

By right you just need to come out with 10k for them to bid the coe for you from which you pay up the balance after they have secure it. Hi, sorry to hear of your plight.
