Cos the Vios driver will copy this video clip and use it against the car owner of the video car if the owner of the video car dun plan to submit this video to his insurance claims.

I am opposite of you. I hope the Vios owner see the vid because it'll be unfair to him if the car /w cam owner make up stories.

Since the Car /w cam owner thinks he's in the right, then just submit the video let insurance comp decide.

it is quite clear.

whoever kissed someone's a$$, that kisser got to pay for it.

to add on, the driver with the video was driving too fast.

it's not about how fast you can go, it's about how fast you can stop in time.

Twincharged

Camera car should have slowed down cuz he is approaching junction, its raining and all the cars in the middle lane already stopped. Vios not at fault. He had to jam brake cuz the lorry infront also came out and stopped.

the video cam driver did brake but seems like the car skidded infront and knock into the vios.anyway i am on the side of video cam driver.

i don't pity the vios driver who just turn out without checking a fast coming car beside and then stopped his vios for the other lorry to filter out.

so can clear cut the camera car is in the wrong, for driving fast like kiasu to jump the queue and not brake in time as vios comes out faster than him. No excuse, anyway small dent on the bumper, better to settle outside.

It may be hard to tell but under such wet conditions plus slope gradient, it is possible that the ABS cut in preventing rapid deceleration.

Yep, it happened before, but according to the other thread, the camera car driver was driving at 50km/h, which is still legal...the vios did not signal intention when cutting and becos of the lorlee in front, has to brake, thus causing no time for the camera car to react...this type of case I think still can argue...

I would consider this 50:50. By taking lane 1, the vios reduced the available braking distance of the car behind.

I have had occasions whereby the vehicle cross into my lane as I was braking. Similarly, we don't go into the lane of a braking heavy vehicle - it may not be able to stop in time.

There's an allegation that the driver of car behind (the one with the camera), flashed a Police pass, .. got the Vios driver to sign a private settlement, .. with the Vios driver paying him $200!

<<< Just found out on this incident.

TS said it was private settlement earlier page. But the fact is TS showed my friend his NS police pass and tried using scare tactics to make my friend give in. My friend though it was really a police ID card thus after a night of thinking, he lost to TS bluff tactics.

TS did not dare to show this video to my friend and claimed was his fault for cutting out abruptly though video shows clearly TS was 3 car length away.

End result was TS demanded $200 to compensate TS when clearly my friend was not at fault. TS spoken in a threatening tone and cornered my friend to quickly sign private settlement form.

I'm advicing my friend on legal course of action since it involve using of NS police pass as a form of intimidation. >>>

This is clearly abuse of rights. Should file a police report to trigger an investigation.

Turbocharged

It would be extremely foolish to risk one's career and reputation over a minor accident and to greed for S$200/-??? . If I am in the wrong i will admit it and pay for damages. Best is to let insurance handle.... To put one's integrity on the line for S$200/-??? and to tarnish the SPF name for S$200/? wtf is the world coming to.... only Made in Singapore .... Priceless.
