Bad accident

I would say it's purely motorcycle's fault. Regardless of how fast the behind car is coming, changing lane onto an oncoming vehicle in such a sudden manner is suicidal. Seeing how last minute it was, I doubt anyone could have avoid hitting the motorcyclist even if you are keeping to 50km/h.

If no video, can twist to advantage of motorcycle.

But with this video, definitely is the motorcycle's fault, unless the speed limit of the road is less than 70.

Those who say it's the car's fault, I wonder how many of you can anticipate that the biker would turn into the petrol station from lane 2 and without any signal. And how many can swerve away in time to avoid hitting the biker.

Twincharged

He turn in from lane 2 so its his fault even if the taxi is speeding. Although he signaled, it just means he wants to filter to lane 3 ma. So even if the taxi did not slow down after he signal, the taxi still won't hit him if he just filter to lane 3. The taxi only hit him cuz he go and turn from lane 2. The taxi probably only expecting him to filter to lane 3 without slowing down much.

Neutral Newbie

If you look at the video cam properly the car is travelling at 77km/h and is it not an expressway. My bet is that the driver is going to be the guiy one. Look at the impact, and you can gauge how fast he is travelling.

Looks like the biker fault to me. If any vehicle last minute turn to your lane without signalling, u don't have time to react & u crash into him, your fault meh?

I think even the car e brake also can't siam the bike, but did the driver warn the biker via highbeam and horn?

Anyway both also will kena claim as got video showing it's bikers fault for turning at wrong lane with zero signal, driver for not being alert...

If the speed limit of the road is 70, then 77 is not too bad.

But in terms of % liability, the biker sure lose.

Shell Sala...

If that Shell priced their petrol S$1 above others, S$3 per litre, biker would just go SPC to pump petrol & would had avoid turning into Shell [:p][laugh] .

My take, biker would had been charged with careless riding while driver would ben charged with driving without due consideration for others.

In the end, TP deduct 6points and fine them S$130 each.

TP wins, both sala.
