Government should make it clear whether they going to plug the 100% loan loophole or not, this will reduce the anxiety of people rushing to buy and create short-term demand.

Neutral Newbie

Cat B reached $73K and Cat A is $62K?! Didnt know so many people here can afford the 40/50% downpayment of the car?! Looks like the new car loan ruling doesnt have huge impact on the COE?! -_-

It's not surprising. I think you throw 10 stones at 10 people, at least 5 got cash for 50% downpayment. Even house people also got 50% downpayment. What is car price to them.

If I rem correctly you driving the Prius or Prius C right?

Last time hatchbacks used to have the best rear view out. Now new design language like Veloster, i30, new Impreza and even Auris all very stingy with rear windscreen.

Driving the C, even the Prius although glass is big, you can't see much due to the split windscreen.

Roc also damn small, evoque and sportage also...

When economy gloom, you won't know how long it will last, so ur rainy day funds will be kept in case of prolonged gloom and not dumped into a DP for car.

pink slip can happen anytime what... u mean buy car now and take 10 yrs loan means no pink slip over the next 10 yrs?

Or buy a house and take 30 yrs loan means no pink slip over next 30 yrs?

I think the mentality of scared to buy during recession is illogical
