This is crazy. Why should there be a donation for him? It's not as if he lost his children's future education money or his rice bowl money. It's money meant for an iPhone. An luxury item. Now he can buy 2 iPhone with spare change.

I think the donation should just be for the amount he lost which was a few hundreds. It should not be anything more, and definitely not a free iPhone.

Not referring to the Vietnam guy, but the idea of donating to this 'cause' is crazy. The money lost is for luxury item, not a life line money.

I think next week I'll be con by car dealer of car that cost 10x my salary. Get cameramen ready for my crying too..

It's based on law of large number. if 10% of singaporean donate abit, the pool become quite huge.

You mean toto?

Not referring to toto, just based on general principle of law of large numbers.

Like:

How insurance is able to substain the business based on law of large number of customer buying insurance.

How casino is able to make big profits based on law of large numbers of gamblers.

How Singapore pools able to make profit based on Law of large numbers of 4D, Toto gamblers.

and etc..

Quite like social media that exposed the Ah Bui.

It works, and the shop is closed today.

Oh, I see it differently.

For a MAN to kneel down and beg, it must be extremely humiliating. Especially in front of his girlfriend. He must be in a very very dire state.

I note he draws a $200 salary. So he must have saved and saved like fxxk just to buy to phone and present it to the girl he loves. On this count, I give it to him.

He is a tourist, in a sense he brings business to Singapore's tourism sector.

Justice as I see it MUST be served to that SLS prxck.
