Read online the arguments for and against the different kinds of straps for sub... Apparently NATO and Zulu are the most pleasing to the eye and isofrane got the thumbs down from most... Reason being the cutouts in the strap draws attention away from the watch and the overall look is messy. Also, some purists gave the thumbs down for Sub Date on anything other than the bracelet, reason being the cyclops looks wrong on anything other than bracelet. The purists would only put the Sub No Date on NATO or Zulu. Something to do with the balanced symmetrical look of the dial, which the Sub Date does not have. Anyway it's what makes the wearer happy.
