Cheepo 3rd Gear April 17, 2013 Share April 17, 2013 (edited) I am dismayed to be told it takes 3 weeks to get my broken windscreen replaced. Insurance approval is one thing. And then they do not have the parts. So the windscreen has to be shipped in from Germany. This is so different from my Toyota - almost instant service. My friend's Civic also dealt with immediately when he drove into Kah Motor. Today is my 3rd trip to VW and still nothing can be done. I just watch the crack get bigger and bigger everyday. No more VW for me after this. Edited April 17, 2013 by Cheepo ↡ Advertisement
Jamesc Hypersonic April 17, 2013 Share April 17, 2013 To stop the crack getting any bigger, don't they drill a hole just under the crack to stop it getting bigger? 3 weeks? Yours is a rare model?

I don't really have any problems with that and very minimal juddering. But of course the fear is always there - especially when the warranty expires. Cheepo 3rd Gear April 17, 2013 Author Share April 17, 2013 sorry to say bro.. I think VW's aftersales service quite jialat.. heard quite a bit about it.. I have to agree and too bad I have to learn it the hard way. I have been calling their service centre phone line for 2 days and never ever manage to speak to a human. Then I emailed them at the email address "[email protected]" but no response. So much "customer care". Finally drove into their service centre to speak to the staff only to find out must wait 3 weeks. Sorry state of affairs. Very very disappointing. Jamesc Hypersonic April 17, 2013 Share April 17, 2013 Is it not a rule in Sg for long that you should have film to protect the shattering? Nope there is no law in Sg that you need to put in the film. The only law is how much light the film must let in.

Under-promise and over-deliver. That is the way to keep a customer for life. Too bad different companies have different play books.

Too bad different companies have different play books. Companies that don't provide good service is going for short term business. Keeping a customer for life is very important to every organisation except maybe Changi Prison. Their motto should be, we provide bad service so that customers won't come back again. ↡ Advertisement
